There was a really good deal on the Zara make up calendar that someone posted on here. TK Maxx had it reduced from £159 to £39 but it might have sold out now.
looked perfect for teenagers.

pinkchampagne1 · 20/10/2023 08:24

Just checked and the Zara calendar is still available at TK Maxx. It is full of make up so would suit an 18 year old.

Hello ladies I’m wondering if someone can remind the wonderous doc from @AprilLady I can’t find the link.

I’m looking for something Christmas-y that has Medik8 c tetra or retinol, some fancy SPF and sone nice cleansers/ fun make up /hair. I literally have all the tabs open but I don’t think anything is fitting the bill. The Sephora crackers came close. Im tempted to sign up to the liberty beauty drop for the thrill and then just buy them direct.

Karmaisagod · 20/10/2023 09:01

Thank you, @Dee1224 and @pinkchampagne1!

AprilLady · 20/10/2023 09:03

@Lurkingshark spreadsheet is attached.

Looking at the detailed contents, I think Space NK might suit you best? Includes Medik8 Retinol, a BS cleanser and a Kate Somerville cleanser. The make up isn’t the most exciting, but what is there is decent.

I think Selfridges probably has better make-up, but not as good on the skin care items you are looking for.

@Lurkingshark you could also consider a combination of the Sephora Christmas boxes/crackers. I think the Indulge edit looks good (and has the Medik8 C Tetra and a good SPF) as do a couple of the others. You could easily combine them into a good DIY advent.

If you do decide to buy, choose Sephora collection as one of your two favourite brands to get 10% off.

Puravida23 · 20/10/2023 09:38

@Emmmmz9 i think M&S is good value and I am tempted by the vanity case to store all my stash. The big problem I have is I have quite a few of the items already (2 deep sleep body cocoons 2 ren cleansers a billion Handcreams ) so not sure I will get it .
I will have a think wether I actually need anything from M&S and if I do I will probably throw it in my basket otherwise I will skip it

Puravida23 · 20/10/2023 09:55

@Karmaisagod another alternative for your DD is the Cohorted 12 day advent . It is obviously only 12 days but has a bit of makeup and skincare . (Lovely KS moisturiser) I think some of the sizes are quite small and it is very haircare heavy but the box is beautiful. The code ADVENT20 takes it down to about £47
Otherwise I think either M&S or H&B are great My Dd would like either possibly prefer M&S
or you could make your own . The Sarah Jossell box is still £41.40 on TikTok and is brilliant and I think there is 14/15 items in there and the Sephora boxes/crackers John Lewis crackers are all good and full of products which could be used for making advents

This is last year's calendar. Will some of the items have a use by date?

LoveLabradors · 20/10/2023 10:06

After deciding not to get an advent calendar as none appealed, thanks to this thread I’ve just looked at the OK one and actually I really like it and will use it all bar the copper eyeshadow. That said I will absolutely not be redeeming the free magazine element as I cannot bear OK magazine!

PomRuns · 20/10/2023 11:14

If anyone is near Bicester, there’s a rituals calendar half price at £52
Apologies blurry pick - was tipping down.

Wow this spreadsheet! ❤️

Any AC with Skinceuticals products? Thanks

New to advent calendars, more inclined towards AC with expensive skincare products .

GB888 · 20/10/2023 14:07

Wow this thread is so great, thank you everyone!

I can't remember Skinceuticals included in ACs, but for the more premium side look at Mintd and Net a Porter, there might be something there.
Face the Future had a great offer last week a free Skibceuticals serum worth £200 on a £200 spend. I dithered, there was enough stuff I wanted to buy but missed out by the time I was ready to place my order.

Dee1224 · 20/10/2023 18:26

Not Christmassy, but Dead Sea Spa Magik have 50% off for new customers.

Starlette · 20/10/2023 18:34

I did a Harvey nick's gwp this week as I wanted to buy some perfume for dd from them - waiting for it to come. Advent calendar not included in offer. Anyway that's my AC subsitute this year :)

Karmaisagod · 20/10/2023 22:09

Thank you, @Puravida23

Lurkingshark · 21/10/2023 06:53

Thank you so much! @AprilLady it was i suspected. I think a diy calendar is the thing and will stop me feeling guilty about keep 2 empty liberty boxes!

wondabar · 21/10/2023 09:58

For my teen daughter I am looking at the Pretty Little Thing calendar as it seems good value at £45. Has anyone bought it?

@Puravida23 do you know how I get the Sarah Jossell edit on Tik Tok? It looks great value.
