Toasties moving into autumn and dusting off the mothballed knits (or buying new ones)

The issue was a pokey bit on one of the shoulders which I pointed out at the Kindred event , one of the other ladies was wearing the coat and it had a small pokey bit she reckoned was the hanger . I decided to buy as they were giving discount on everything that morning . Later found it can be pressed out using damp cloth , I don’t own a steamer .
In fact the poke was at the end of a small curved seam and because the cloth is thick it hadn’t been flattened down properly when finished.
It looks fine now .
Feedback from lady wearing it was that it’s v warm.
I will probably keep it .( But also bought a jacket )
It looks great with dresses and boots, gabi type trousers …but sadly not with Annie jeans.
I hope they resolve the issue and put it back on sale .

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I actually appreciated the transparency from CS, but absolutely shouldn’t have quality issues at that price.

Sorry @OftenOrange in my mind you’d steamed it. Glad yours is fine now, and I’m also hoping they resolve the issue so I can buy one.

Been looking at Reworn and bought a velvet pinafore. I actually think some of the prices are ok, bar the fact that people have donated it to toast FOC- god knows why!!

Thank you again everyone and I'm actually quite shocked that so many of us have had had bad experiences. It's really not what you'd expect from Toast. My birthday trip is now postponed because of weather warnings - hopefully Sunday now. Haven't heard back yet but I will let you know what Toast say

I'm off to look at the reworn pieces. There is the most beautiful vintage leather sort of peacoat on the FB group (or at least there was a few days ago). It's absolutely TINY but if you're a small size 6/8 I really recommend you go and have a look. I would buy it in a flash if if fitted me!

I notice a few of the reworn collection are described as:

Lest anyone think I'm only ever agin Toast, the new linen-silk botanical jacquard fabric is stunningly gorgeous. The shapes are a bit odd, mind.

Does anyone know if reworn items can be returned? I can’t see that it says otherwise anywhere.

The air smells so wonderful it's luring me outside, despite the hoolie. Maybe if I weigh my pockets down with giant mothballs?

The reworn stuff is very fast moving! The £75 kantha jacket is a bargain if anyone is interested.

I'm still slightly amazed that Toast sold these items, asked for them back and are re-selling them. Maybe I should let this go .....🤣

Toast really need to add 'Newest first' to their Sort filter like every other online store in the known universe. Then I can envisage repeat visits to Reworn, in hopes of meeting very old friends.
