But many of the European heirs shown in the photo are also second in line to the throne like George - e.g. Estelle is there not CPV, same for Christian and Ingrid. Their grandparents are all still on the throne as is the case for George.

Prince Christian towers over his parents, love the photo of the heirs, all dressed very beautifully and appropriately for their ages.

I've often thought this. There must be some clever ways of pinning sashes and royal orders onto gowns so that they don't tear the fabrics.

That said, I'd quite like an elephant please (no need for a sash).

Princess Ingrid Alexandra's lovely dress is a rewear of the dress that CP Mette-Marit wore to Charlene and Albert's wedding reception in 2011.

I then found a great picture of M-M with CP Mary at the reception.

And then got completely distracted by the enormous wedding cake. 😂😂😂

The female children all looked amazing. No-one bothers with the boys who looked very handsome too.

I wonder if our royals are blocked from the European knees up because of Brexit or whether they've never been interested.

Nothing to do with Brexit! Remember, some of these Euro royal countries aren't in the EU anyway.

Mary's daughters looked good last night. Isabella's dress is very 70s Studio 64 glam and Josephine looks like she was styled by Meghan! The hairstyle and jumpsuit look very much like something she'd wear.

Does anyone know why Frederick and Mary called the twins Josephine and Vincent ?
I think they are an odd choice particularly for Royalty
They are such plain old fashioned names. I associate them with older people, I live in Ireland.

Josephine is 12. Why is she dressed like a forty-something? Hideous.

I didn’t mind what Josephine wore actually. She obviously didn’t fancy being in a pink and sparkly dress like her younger cousin Athena or younger Princess Estelle, and would have known her older sister was going to wear a very glamorous strapless dress. The pantsuit was event-appropriate and not remotely revealing while also presumably making the nearly 13 year old feel stylish. A difficult needle to thread!
