Tu clothes: pleasantly surprised

I have never bought from Tu but I bought a cord dress recently for the princely sum of £12, and was pleasantly surprised by the decent quality. Soft and fit well. Not flouncy. Better than more expensive stuff I have.

What else could I be buying? Knickers? Cotton tees?

Yes their knicks are good, nightwear. I have a bunch of stuff ive had from there. Just be selective - they add stuff every few months.

Yes they're nice quality. Only wish they did a better older teen range and school wear for older kids.

I wouldn't buy their tshirts. The neckline went soggy after one or two washes and they faded terribly very quickly. I had to bin them only after a couple of wears

Ooo I'm off to have a look now. About a year ago I bought a lovely corduroy style dress and the quality is great. It's been washed loads but still looks brand new. Hadn't even occurred to me to keep shopping there for some reason! That dress was dumped in the trolley as it caught my eye while shopping.

I've been pleasantly surprised too. Since markies pants have gone crap I've been buying all my pants from tu and they wash and wear fantastically. I've had pyjamas,dungarees and a swimsuit. All great and reasonably priced. I used to buy most of my clothes in Boden but the prices and quality have stopped me. Really like the design of their clothes just fab x

I've also diverted from M&S knickers to TU. They're comfy and last way longer.

My teen quite likes their clothes. They do good lines of Gen Z friendly colourful knitwear. Also got a really nice cropped blouse with kimono sleeves and geometric print a few weeks ago.

@Beamur your teen? Our Sainsburys seems to stop at age 11/12 but I’ve not looked at boys stuff Tbf as only have girls. I buy knickers from there, as fit & wash really well. Little kids clothes are pretty good too. It’s the only supermarket I have near me that sells clothing though.

Their big knickers with the lace top are the most comfortable undies I have ever bought and a million miles better than the flimsy things M&S sell nowadays.

Also got a pair of cord trousers that have a slimming effect on my appearance and cost £11. Made of decent quality cotton instead of that synthetic stretchy polyester shite that so many 'jeans' and trousers are made of nowadays.

Thanks all. This was the dress I bought. Just saw they have it in pink, and now I want that too! Green Corduroy Shirt Dress - 14 (sainsburys.co.uk) Looks better IRL than on the site. I am surprised by the number of pure cotton dresses/jumpsuits they have. I can never find cotton in more expensive stores.

A black floral dress has lasted really well and is a really heavy viscose, which I usually steer clear, but it drapes really nicely and was something like £12

The men's casual shirts worth a try, good sizing, soft feel and the colours have washed well. Gert lump of teenager is well satisfied. I want one of the 'lumberjack' shirts to wear undone over knitted tops for Autumn/Winter. I need small. (The large will do for an overcoat.)
Mumsie had good wear from swimsuit, bought last year, a one piece for 'lady of a certain age'. But it did get regular use all yr round.

This winds me up too, men's have pockets WHY don't womens?!! Only place I've found women's with pockets is expensive ones from fatface or those plaid brushed cotton bottoms from primark.

I have a perfectly cut denim dress from Tu. Get so many compliments when I wear and everyone assumes it's Boden. To be fair, it's identical quality to any of my Boden dresses.

I do find the new website annoying though as it's gone all M&S now and is mainly other brands without the ability to just be able to see the Tu clothes

Love a bit of tu - got cord dungaree dresses from there last year for about £20 each and wore most of the winter. Still good.

@Mybasilplantispastitsbest - got pj's with pockets last year from Their Nibs.mas me feel grown up as they a proper grown up pj's with a nice silky feel (even though they arent). Also do cotton ones.
