Hi, unfortunately I have gone back into the sale and reordered the gingham check dress, (the one that makes me look like a tablecloth), the cedar/blue striped tee and the cotton slub tank in coal.

I am annoyed about that last item. I ordered M as, although my sister said hers was ‘tiny’, we have totally different body shapes.

However, it turns out that she meant that the thin material clings, rather than being small. I don’t need any more attention drawn to my middle, so I already know that will be going back 🙃

Definitely not buying anything else!

My slightly discounted towel arrived today- this one doesn’t have a hole or any dark marks on it. However, it’s got a huge knot, (complete with cut ends), in the middle where the thread broke. It’s the sort of bodge job I would do, so I am not impressed.

I haven’t returned it yet as I am waiting for the sale towel to arrive so I can compare. I really want to be able to keep one as I plan to use it as a shawl, (it would be absolutely useless as a towel, imo). 🤞the third one is better.

My sale parcel arrived! And it is very disappointing. My credit card will get to breathe a sigh of relief.

Fracap Lina sandals - I tried these before and they were great. But the leather on this pair is totally mismatched - one is very smooth and the other is very grainy. Annoying. Not sure if I could be bothered reordering.

Moonstar trainers - can’t remember who also mentioned these. They are very big. I ordered 5, I’m usually a 5.5 with a wide foot and they gape at the sides of the ankle.

Big linen bag - I know the reviews said this, but it is comically big. Not much use unless I wanted to put a small child in it. Plus the straps are quite wide and I know that won’t work for me. The colour is also a bit more muted than I hoped.

Non-sale Kate Sheridan scout bag - not sure what some of the reviews were on about, it is very small and really can’t fit much at all apart from a phone and a few cards in it. I was hoping to fit keys in at least, but they would stretch the leather.

Mill pond culottes - these are the only possible keeper, but I feel like they might look a bit clown-like on me. I need to try again with some plain tops.

I had forgotten I had also added the new crinkle cotton checked pinafore type dress (same as the black/white one from summer). It feels lighter than the previous version, like there is less fabric in it. That’s a plus. But on the minus side, the waist seam is a bit wonky, and the skirt doesn’t sit that well.

I am very pernickety as you can tell, but at Toast prices I really need things to be perfect.

Oh and I forgot the rice spoon. This was going to be a Christmas stocking gift. It is going back though, because unlike the picture online, this one has no grain at all to the wood and looks like something I could pick up in Poundland!

Which towel is that @Dee1224 . I ordered one. Can’t see it still on website.

The only Toast item I’m wearing today is a cashmere mix jumper and the Birkenstocks from the winter sale in what I would describe as a tobacco colour. It’s not warm here ,12degrees, and has been steadily raining. I’ve not ventured out. I’m reorganising clothes and rooms. I swore I’d not abandon summer type stuff until my holiday but I’m not sure I can keep it up. I’ve on cream Zara cargo type trousers and a White Stuff navy top. Very envious of your 26 degrees @faustina .

I haven’t read the full thread to see if you have been answered, but I have it in a 10 and I am a high street 12, 32dd bust and it fits just fine, 12 would have been too big. I cannot believe it hasn’t sold out, I paid full price for it and love it. I will wear it in winder with a neat sweater over it.

I also have it but stuck with my normal size. It's a little loose on the bust but I intended to alway wear something under it. It's not ridiculously loose.
I'm tempted by the other colour.
If you are small busted, size down.

It’s the mimosa/olive towel @Countmeout - it’s so lovely and I have wanted one to use as a shawl since my sister got hers a while back. However, the broken thread/knot looks dreadful and is a large hole waiting to happen. Hopefully number three will be better.

Is that the one you have ordered?

It does sit high on the neck but it is still gorgeous. I would order it in all colours but orange next!!!!

I have another bag from sideline that's huge but if you tuck the ends in, it's fine.

Still pondering the mill pond culottes. In a less garish fabric, I would definitely keep them. But these are a bit out there for me perhaps. Better with a plain dark top than what I had on when I initially tried them.

Yes, that does help. But I still think it’s too big for me.

I'm envious of your outfit today @PretLea , I really wanted to make that top and skirt work for me but it just didn't, and the top in particular didn't work for me. I have hopes that the Alder check dress will fill a similar space for me, though I'm expecting the sizing to be wrong and I've got too much coming so some things really should be returns if I'm to consider myself as being good with money. I think I know I've been lying to myself about that though.

Aha, first pics! @ScottishMouse , when you wrote that you'd ordered them I thought "risky!", but I am surprised to say I like them, they look really good on you and paired with the solid darker top works really well! So, the thing is, can you find yourself wearing them? (I'm off to have a look at them myself now)

Back in the winter I got the amber Organic Cord Tunic Dress. It is very orange, which I like, but it is also reeeally huge. I haven't worn it yet, and am wondering why I didn't return it.
I think the sleeveless cord tunic dress looks much more wearable; I would like it in both green and orange ;)

@ScottishMouse, are they really wide on the leg from a side view?

I love the colour and pattern of the millponds @ScottishMouse . I was contemplating them myself, but with my short legs culottes always look ridiculous.

I think they look good on you - a fitted dark top and chunky shoes/sandals/ankle boots are the way forward, imo.
