I am considering treating myself to one of these Louis Vuitton bags.

which do you prefer?

also I’m wondering whether to buy directly from store brand new or look at the second hand market… just concerned about authenticity.

I am 5.2 and a size 14 and find the medium size is the best for me. I have in the Damier Azur and I only use it in the summer.

Personally I prefer the MM to the GM, but it really depends on what you’re going to use it for? I think the MM is perfect and more than enough for every day.

I also prefer the Damier Ebene to the monogram as I think it’s more subtle and less in your face as the monogram. The monogram is nice though!

I love mine so far btw!!! It’s the perfect handbag for every day and for popping to the shops, days out or going shopping etc!

I bought a lovely bag liner for mine too so it has lots of inner storage compartments :)

@LVneverfull Congratulations on your new bag! I have the MM in Black Empreinte Leather, having thought I would go for the GM in canvas monogram. I would say the GM was too big for day to day use but perfect if you intend to use it for travel or say as an overnight bag. The MM fits in a lot of stuff and the handles aren't the most comfortable if it's too heavily laden. I've been using mine for almost a year now and I don't regret my choice at all and get a lot of enjoyment from using both the main tote and the pouch (both of which get used several times a week). Having never been a "bag" or indeed LV fan particularly, I have decided to keep an eye out for a GM monogram on the preloved market to use for travel too.

Thank you! I'm roughly the same size. I've taken the MM monogram out for a bit (just in the house) and I think it is the right size for me. For some reason in the box it looked really small. I do like a large bag. But that often gets me lumbered with everyone else's stuff!

I think I'm going with the damier ebene as it is a little more subtle.

DH is kicking himself as he knows I like classic stuff so went with the monogram but then he knows I do go for more subtle branding when we do splurge.

If you could share which liner you went for that would be great please. I should really go with the cherry with it being darker but I'm not a red person at all and I love pink so it's going to have to be the ballerina....

Now to work out how I do the exchange!
