Oh, and I met someone who used to work at Jenny Packham and she told me that everything Kate wears has to have shoulder pads sewn in. She said everything - not sure how true that is but even if it's just 90%?!

I’m all for women keeping long hair. I’m 10 years older than Kate and have long hair. I just think hers looked a bit wrong yesterday. Too fussy, solid and done. In the Mike Tindall video, her hair looked lovely.

When hands other than my own have been at my mop, my hair is not too dissimilar to this…. (Not the face though sadly)

Meghan in shorts today. I think she looks good!

I do like that outfit on her. Fab.

I am not keen on a middle parting on most and that includes Meghan. She has a lovely face and a great barnet. A middle parting with a fun casual outfit looks a wee bit severe to me.

Meghan also does flat shoes really well. She has a lovely selection of flats that are interesting and smart. My flat shoes are open toed sandals or sketchers basically!

I would love Meghan's shoe wardrobe!

She is really leaning into (US) high street brands in the last few appearances, isn’t she? After several years of head to toe luxury labels (she wore a couple of M&S pieces shortly after her engagement but hardly anything similar at all after that). And now a Banana Republic outlet dress and J Crew in two different outfits. An interesting change!

I hear you. I have no flat shoe game 🤣

@Serenster I blame my children. My feet grew - wider and longer - while pregnant and I got a bunion. Flat shoes often sit right on the widest bit and I struggle now.

No-one beats Meghan shoe wise. I think the sweater is way too big/bulky in the sleeves. I'd have gone down a couple of sizes. I think Kate has better pins

Meghan looks nice in the shorts outfit, another casual win. I do agree about the centre parting though, I don't think it is the most flattering style on her.

Both sets of legs are lovely in my opinion. I was not blessed.

If I had to choose? I think Kate just edges it. I prefer M’s outfit between the two though.

Meghan is blessed in the shorts-wearing department because her short torso makes her look very leggy even when she’s quite petite (she looks tiny next to Harry in that photo above!).

Queen Mathilde of Belgium has a similar figure, and while I can’t say I’ve ever seen her wear shorts (not really her style!) she also looks impressively leggy when she goes for shorter skirts.

Kate is more muscular and toned. Meghan's legs are long, and skinny. But both are great. They're very lucky. I think Kate's are probably "sexier" but that might be because mine are more like Meghan's or were, when I was young and thin and we always like what we can't have!

Royal wedding alert! (But not until 2024).

Martha-Louise and Shamen Derek are going to get married. I am hoping for interesting outfits all around.

Both Meghan and Kate look fabulous in those shorts. I'm less keen on Meghan's jumper/cardi thingy, it's a bit too boxy and doesn't hang well. She could have got away with a really fine knit cardigan instead.

I've previously tried the white shorts, striped jumper and pumps to attempt to replicate Kate's effortlessly stylish casual look but sadly I was rather more Captain Pugwash. 😂😂😂

In non-fashion news the Italian version of the Royal Mail have released a lovely stamp to commemorate QEII - apparently very unusual for them to recognise a non-Italian on a stamp.

I must be the only one who thinks that outfit on Meghan is dreadful. It looks thrown together without any thought, the whole outfit is swamping her.

I think maybe it is the center parting why she looks different, along with the weight loss from her face.

Meghan's shorts suit is Chanel, I do like the cardigan part, but less the cut of the shorts, which look a bit flimsy. Nonetheless, she looks good in shorts and can carry it off. I love her Chanel shoes, she has a pair of flat pumps in a similar design.

I'm jealous of all of you with lovely curly hair! Mine is 1a ☹️
My daughter's is 3c, and suddenly sprang out when she was about two. I did struggle to manage it, but she looks fabulous now. She leaves it natural.

Maybe the fashion houses are less likely to provide free/cheap clothing these days, or perhaps times are hard in the Mountbatten/Windsor/Markle household.
