Is this dress too much?

I have just bought this dress and love it! I am thinking of wearing it with a denim jacket and white trainers to fly in at weekend! Or just taken it with me?

It’s lovely. If you’re off on a nice holiday I wouldn’t waste it on the flight- keep it clean to wear when you get there!

Its so not me but its a great dress. Don't waste it on trainers and a denim jacket. Wear it and love it

Too much for what? I agree with @RoadSignFool , I wouldn’t waste it on the flight but wear it when you get there (unless you’re going hiking or something if that ilk).

Where are you flying to? Its 100% polyester so 100% sweat! 😬
If you like it and it flatters you, that is all that matters.

1 comes up big and is too long for me
2 positive? Only gives 1 star, but words are positive.

So I think the star rating may be misleading, but I'd be put off by 100% polyester.

I’d take it. I more or less live in dresses. I suspect if you fly in it (depending on length of flight) it would get more screwed up worn than packed. Also, this is a problem unfortunately personal to me, I’m a messy so and so when l fly and l’d end up with food and wine blobs down it.

I like the look of that dress. However if you wore it with a denim jacket wouldn’t the sleeves bunch up? I’m asking as this is a problem I have with similar dresses and was wondering if there is some sort of solution I’m missing? I usually go for sleeveless or long sleeves to wear under jackets to avoid bunching up.

@BigcatLittlecat I love the dress btw. I would however not wear this type of dress when flying somewhere ..... I speak from experience. Wore a similar dress once when travelling by plane and going to the loo at the airport and especially on the plane was shall we say very interesting ( I am a size 22). 😊

It's a very nice dress but I think it's ott for flying. I usually wear leggings, T shirt, cardigan for a flight, and casual shoes with socks my feet always get cold on flights.

the whole dress, denim jacket and white trainers look is really dated now Op. not necessarily a problem but if you want to look fashionable it’s not really a look to go for now

I love the style and pattern but wouldn't wear 100% polyester to fly / go on holiday (or anywhere, tbh)
