That poster probably has no friends in RL. Or if so they'll be as nasty as them.

Let's be honest, a lot of dickheads are the ones with the most friends. Plenty of people love to gossip and be rude.

LadyBird1973 · 08/08/2023 11:04

People in real life are seeing the 3 dimensional you, with your energy and personality. This is better than photos and a more realistic way of knowing what a person actually looks like. Some people glow in real life but it doesn't always translate to photos

SlashBeef · 08/08/2023 11:05

I think you look your age, it's fine. You do look a bit tired but aren't we all.

IClaudine · 08/08/2023 11:05

OP, you look pretty youthful still to me, especially when you smile. I don't believe the pp who said they have a 52 year old friend who looks younger than you!

Now, back to me. How old do I look (I may have filtered a tiny bit if I'm honest)?

These threads are always so brutal.

Guessing a person’s age in person is different from guessing after looking at a static image. It’s not just wrinkles and lines, we take in to account a person’s height, their weight, voice, posture and movement, way of dressing, etc. Loads of factors contribute towards someone looking younger or older.

@Grannyknowsbest my sister is almost 70 and looks younger than you but we have good genes

That’s charming that. 🤣

ActDottie · 08/08/2023 11:09

42-44 you look very worn out

She asked how old she looks. That was all. Did you not understand the question?

That's true, but let's face it, they're not actually 'friends' are they, they're just people who want to keep on the right side of the bitches for fear that they'll turn on them.

Advicerequest · 08/08/2023 11:14

30 but knackered

SouthernFashionista · 08/08/2023 11:14

I’d still say early fifties. And I actually don’t believe that’s a photo of you.

SouthernFashionista · 08/08/2023 11:16

And it’s not a flattering photo in either case. I don’t have any idea why people persist in putting up these dreadfully unflattering photos.

IClaudine · 08/08/2023 11:17

These threads really bring out the nasty buggers. There is no way OP looks early 50s.

Pontiouspilate · 08/08/2023 11:19

I’m 46 and I probably look younger than you. I have no lines or sun damage (very pale never tanned). Most of my friends are 40’s and I’d say you were objectively about 43 based on comparison. You look extremely tired though

Darkdiamond · 08/08/2023 11:22

I'm 40 and look around the same age when I've no make up on and don't smile in a photo.

Maraa · 08/08/2023 11:22

Always find these posts so odd

AuntieMarys · 08/08/2023 11:22

These posts shouldn't be allowed. They always descend into carnage.

Supersimkin2 · 08/08/2023 11:26

25? Knackered after a good sunny hol?

continentallentil · 08/08/2023 11:27

@Grannyknowsbest

early to mid 70s with a fair bit of airbrushing I think

You look nice but have an older style than a person in their 60s

oakleaffy · 08/08/2023 11:27

@addicteetopawpatrol
I think if you had a different hairstyle, it would suit you better - Stepmum after Dad died had her hair cut much shorter, and immediately looked much younger - she has kept her shorter hair ever since. {She's far, far older than you}

There's a bloke on you tube {I followed him only because he has Whippets} called ''The makeover guy'' and the difference a haircut can make is enormous. :)

WhateverMate · 08/08/2023 11:28

@Grannyknowsbest I'd say about 70 or maybe just a bit above, and absolutely lovely Flowers

FoxyFeeling · 08/08/2023 11:29

48

Cordeliathecat · 08/08/2023 11:29

32 due to good skin and no lines

MiniTheMinx · 08/08/2023 11:30

I always wonder, the people that over estimate others age how do they themselves look. But they are hiding. Their responses suggest they look amazing and they all look 10 years younger.

I can't help but think that kindness, and generosity and happiness makes people appear younger, more beautiful and that envy and spite makes even the youngest look mean spirited and like old hags.

The only women I know that really look their age (and mine) tend to be the devotees of treatments, botox and Bulldog clips. The shiney face botoxed to the hilt with far too much BB cream. Contrary to popular advice matt skin (which others are referring to "do you know what moisturiser is" and "dull and flat" looks natural and youthful IMO when compared to the waxwork dummy look, which instantly signals to others the use of treatments, botox and Bulldog clips.

OP you look lovely, just a bit tired. Have a nap and make time for yourself.
