Thread to discuss and compare 2023 Beauty Advent contents. Started because Liberty has already published their contents.

The White Company is out on preview. Not my thing, but it sells out every year, can’t seem to link it, but I’ve just had an email.

I will probably go for Space N K thos test, maybe John Lewis which was good last year bug they haven't announced anything.

Next are supposed to release two versions today but nothing on their website yet

Sephora not for me but don't think they've done too bad a collation job.

No calendars calling out to me so far- at full price anyway. Crumbs- come on JL.

The Next one is now on the app - £95 & noted as worth over £355.

I am waiting to see what is in the MAC one. I have been pleased with the ones I had in the past and discovered things that I really liked.

I'm just looking at a lot of these and thinking "boring boring boring". Same old products every time with maybe one or two new items. That just doesn't make it worth the spend unless you like the repeat products. Unless something wows me I think I'll stick to M&S for the price.

I agree with everyone who finds them all lacking. I like the Harrods, but am put off with the Ren Tonic, then I start looking at the other DOD’s and it loses its sparkle. I don’t want to pay for a few products I’d like to try amongst a host of things I’d end up giving away, or forever be sitting in a cupboard.
I’ve had the Harrods perfume….everything else feels a bit flat. I need to feel enticed and it’s just not happening 🙄

I might get Miin for my niece as she’s into Korean skincare. Is it a decent brand and mix of products? (For anyone who knows about this stuff)

They’re all a bit shite aren’t they? I say that as a paid up member of Beauty Advent Addicts Anonymous. I got loads last year - full price and discounted. I was opening until April.

But everything is so samey. I don’t need anymore bloody Augustinus Bader (blah!) or Sisley creams or whatever the heck.

Any interesting and unique ones I may have missed? Only one I’m thinking of possibly is MAC.

I think I’m just all beautied out, after my mega-marathon box-buying orgy before my birthday a couple of months ago. I was looking for a particular serum last night and have no idea which box or trunk I’ve hidden it in, it’s ridiculous.

Think I’ll get Glossybox sight unseen, as it’s only £70, and the M&S one in October - purely price-driven. I also fancy the Invisibobble one!

@Pinenu I had a closer look at the Miin one last night and it's a hard no from me. I quite fancy the idea of a Korean one and the fact that, unlike the YesStyle one, there is no make-up appeals to me. However, there are 6 single use masks (face, eye and foot), a tweezers and a night mask so that would be 9 meh days for me.

I have no idea if it is a decent brand but if you head over to the beauty hoarders anonymous thread and ask there, there is a poster who is very up on Korean brands.

Debenhams was quite good last year. They made a big reduction for BF so it was a really good deal. The little doors had discount codes printed on the back for that day's product too. I thought that was a nice touch. Not struck on this year's from the photo.

I'm looking forward to seeing what else Mac will bring out. They had some really nice things last year that sold out quickly, like the lip vault box.

And that’s the lookfantastic advent calendar cancelled because they say that code was invalid - that’s a shame. I can buy for a higher price apparently with a special £10 off 😭

My LF has been cancelled too, oh well I only really got it because of the discount.

My LookFantastic calendar has also been cancelled. Very poor not to honour it, shan’t buy from them now.

Sephora and Glossybox are the ones tempting me the most. I like all the scented items in Sephora and the only dud is the nail polish. It's quite pricey though.

Just bought the Next AC, my first beauty AC ever. Feels very self-indulgent but it’s a late birthday present from DH.......

M & S September beauty box looks good, not an advent calendar but thought I’d mention it …..

Will the Next AC be available in Next stores, does anyone know? I have to be in Barnstaple tomorrow morning and would like to pick one up in-store, just to get round the infuriating bank verification nonsense when I try to buy online.
