Thread to discuss and compare 2023 Beauty Advent contents. Started because Liberty has already published their contents.

What is in the M and S one? I can only find an article that shows last years .

Vogue doesn't appeal to me at all but I did recently hear, over the tears of both my husband and bank balance, about Jewellery advent calendars so anyone who is most interested by the earrings maybe have a look at those?

I'm quite tempted by the Selfridges one, but knowing it went down to half price last year I think I'll bide my time and see if I can get a deal. Probably the same with Latest in Beauty.

Going to get the M&S one, mainly as its such a bargain.

I think I’ll be getting M&S for advent and then maybe also another box like the Boots Showstopper or the Look Fantastic beauty chest if they do them this year.

Still waiting on JL though.

I've bought my mum this the past two years, first time it's tea, usually it's all jam, a tiny jam spoon and a Christmas item, one year was a tea light holder the other I think a tree decoration

I'm sure M&S had those same nail polishes in last year! We've had that perfume before as well. Aside from that, it looks pretty good for the price.

Fragrance calendar arrived today. The box is lovely

I can see it making a lovely gift, especially if someone also enjoys teas, and the box is very festive looking.

That was for @FredaFox and the Bonne Maman calendar. 🙂

I've ordered Bonne Maman, I was disappointed by the usually excellent Degustabox last year (too many protein ball/bar doors) so it's nice to have a foodie one that I know I'll enjoy.

We loved the Bonne Maman one last year. Wish they did some of the weirder jams in big sizes!

May get Degustabox for DH.

I like it when they actually look Christmassy, I’ve noticed a lot of the beauty ACs have no Christmas theming.

Too many hair products in the M&S one for me to consider...I'd much rather have an Eyeko liquid eyeliner!
I need JL to announce now but it's looking like JL + H&B for me, or Boots premier + H&B (+ Degustabox for the family)

That looks good! I was 99% going to get it anyway but I'm sold now. The nail varnishes are the same as previous years but that's not a big issue.

Aaargh - I've only just found this thread and was thinking of buying the Harrods Fragrance calendar for DD for Christmas - but it's showing as sold out. Does anyone think it'll be back later or have I completely missed the boat?

So glad I've come across this thread. I've decided I'm finally going to bite the bullet and have a beauty calendar this year. I'm disappointed by the Cult Beauty one, so I'm crossing my fingers for either (or both!) Selfridge's or Boots Premium. Though I do keep going back to Space NK, maybe that one too? 🤦🏼‍♀️

The Harrods fragrance calendar went on sale at 10 yesterday and when I bought mine at about 11.30 there weren't many left. I was told it was expected to sell out by the end of the day. Apart from the pre-orders last month, which I managed to miss, the fragrance advent calendar wasn't available online this year. I don't think they made any more available last year once it had sold out.

Oh bugger. Ah well, DD doesn't even know such a thing exists so she's not going to miss it. It's just me that's sad!

Well more brands than contents really

Hmmm the M&S calendar looks a bit blah not as good as last year & a few repeat products.

At the moment it's the Anthropologie ac as my favourite. Though might treat myself to Elemis as I do use a lot of their products.

Looking forward to the JL, Boots Premium & Elle ac reveals.

@wheresmyshoe Renu is so deadpan & looks faintly unimpressed by it all. I think she's really funny & like you say very honest.

@TheWeeDonkeyFella ooh I like the Bonne Maman ac too!

I like the look of the palette in Glossybox. I bought one last year when it was reduced to around £45. This year's looks much better though so probably won't slash the price
