So disappointed to see the Roen pallet in CB - I have the one from a couple of years ago and really dislike it but equally don't want to just chuck it, so it sits in my makeup collection annoying me.
They've also massively downsized the olaplex. Will wait to see the final release but am not hopeful it'll be for me!

I've still got those two Cult creams too! 😂

As far as I remember, they are super thick, so I thought I'd save them for winter

I've been buying at least 3 calendars a year since about 2019, as well as the odd gwp and beauty box, and as a result I have loads of most things

I've been keeping track of how quickly I use things up, and so far this year I've only used up 56 products! That's barely even 2 advent calendars worth!! No wonder I have so much...

I think this is partly why I'm drawn to space nk. It has 3 cleansers and cleansers are one of the few items that I'm likely to run out of in the near future!

I remember last year there seemed to be a lack of cleansers in the ACs. My ideal AC would have a full size really lovely cleansing balm (which rinses clean away) .

I didn't even open them? Just not the type of product I'd use. Seeing too many repeats of products now too.

I hadn't realised the AC 2023 thread was up & running-I mostly lurk with the occasional comment

Looking at the contents list for M&S last year I can't understand or indeed remember why I didn't purchase as would have used pretty much everything.

I did however have the JL AC which I loved-the best one (for me) for a few years I think.

Dod are eye shadow palettes, blushers, REN, black eyeliner and tools. Love a pillow spray. Always happy with cleansers and moisturisers and the inevitable bottle of Molton Brown goes into my travel bag

I’m underwhelmed too.
It’s all the same products as usual, although the Harrods last year had the AB facial wash which I actually liked, though not enough to purchase at full price.
Harrods is in the lead for me…but I’m probably going to pass on buying any as I too have many products. I have too many perfumes too…but still pre ordered the scent AC!
I believe the kits they’ve been selling on Liberty are better value than the AC this year.

Quite disappointing that there’s no excitement about the advents this year for me.

The Cult51 night cream was my best product from the F&M 2022 calendar. In fact I’ve bought the day cream and another night cream since.

I think last year there were loads of exfoliating cleansers @Housewife2010 I would happily never have another exfoli-Kate or in fact any of them.

I agree that after a few years even at only one a t year, I've got enough stuff that I don't really need another calendar.

I'll be interested to see what the September Liberty GWP is, and whether Sephora or LiB are any good. I think they were the ones to beat last year

There were very few actual cleansers though rather than exfoliators.

I’d love a simple micellar cleansing water, but instead have loads of foaming micellar washes, which I don’t much like using. Grimly working my way through a massive Zelens exfoliating micellar foam from a hyperpigmentation Liberty kit from April, which will probably last me at least another year at the rate I’m using it. Might fob it off on my OH as a shaving foam.

I’ve just finished that! Good riddance. Didn’t even foam nicely.

But the Zelens had one of those dispensers that looks like it will create a satisfyingly plump ball of dense foam in your hand, maybe making a little fssshhhh noise as you push it down, which I am not above enjoying as a mini process. And it didn’t, it was just a bit wet and half-arsed.

I opted for a Revolution face masks AC last year and a Look Fantastic box the previous year so I feel ready to go back to a large mixed product AC this year. I've had Benefit, Clarins, M&S, Laura Mercier before.

I'm so disappointed with cult51. Was very excited to try the day and night cream. Loves the packaging. But I don't like the smell and it sits in my skin and pills really badly

I agree, I didn’t like the cult 51 either and didn’t finish it. I don’t like the smell and it didn’t seem to sink in to my skin properly. It’s a shame as I really wanted to love it and it makes up a big part of the Fortnum’s calendar. Space NK looking like a winner here too.

Yes! TBH the first couple of times I used it it came out as a gel that plumped up nicely in my hand, then the mechanism must’ve kicked in after that because as you say it was rather “wet and half-arsed”.

I quite like the look of the Cult Beauty preview. I'd love the candle and I'm a sucker for an eye palette in colours that I think will suit me. Looking forward to the full reveal!
