Is This OK for a September wedding? I love the style but think it might be too dark?

This is nice .
Ghost

This is a good choice with different colours to chose from.

I can't access the One Hundred Stars Dress, says it's protected... Could someone post a picture please or tell me its name? I like their things, I fancy the Rachel dress in stork print...

Yes the chambray blue and bright mauve are both lovely!

Katiesaidthat · 18/07/2023 15:05

Weirdly, I like it very much, but more for evening wear than a wedding. Also September is hot and bright in Spain, so I am biased, because it would look too dark.

Francesca Cumani always gets her daytime smart look just right. See attached. The padded Alice bands work a treat on a bob.

Alice bands are horrific

Theos · 18/07/2023 18:18

The blue one looks like she’s left a towel on wet hair

Ada777 · 18/07/2023 19:29

Very stylish
Something brighter would be better for a wedding
Hot Pink or Mustard

I like it!

RosesAndHellebores · 18/07/2023 23:05

I really like it. Hat, shoes, job done and you'll get wear out of it later.

RiceRiceBaby16 · 19/07/2023 01:15

september wedding, no. September funeral- perfect

TizerorFizz · 19/07/2023 08:56

Some people on style and beauty don’t seem to recognise either. Alice bands are a great idea if you have longer hair but need a dressy look but not go as far as a hat. Many stylish women are wearing them now. Women who are always stylish for their jobs in the public eye do know how to dress.

dudsville · 19/07/2023 10:13

You have great taste in dresses, but the first is more sporty and the second (both really) is for work I think.

howlismoving · 19/07/2023 13:02

If I saw someone wearing this at a wedding I'd think they were especially classy and I think it's a great choice!

I think it depends on face shape. I have an elongated face. They would look horrendous on me.

It's like a nightgown

PictureConsequences · 19/07/2023 22:43

Oh snap then!! I do really like it, and it's a bit jauntier than the Reiss ones, in a good way...!

Marinerscove · 19/07/2023 23:51

I love the first one! Nice heels and a necklace, some dangly earrings and you will look fantastic! No to the second one, now that to me, is a work dress.

Here you go - unfortunately I look at it and thing dressing gown - I think it's the sleeves.

What about a pretty top like this over a pair of light wide legged trousers?

Thanks Horsedoglover. I don't see it like that, I see an elegant, 20s style silhouette.

PictureConsequences · 20/07/2023 07:51

Btw noglow, I'm wearing this to a wedding on Saturday - www.endource.com/product/allsaints-isa-jasumin-dress/YepTPkbg-wABpVgS

ArabeIIaScott · 20/07/2023 07:55

The crane dress is lovely, the shape is great. The floral blouse is very fussy.

I think it might be the general monochromatic colours that maybe skew the outfit a bit unweddingy, OP? Could you venture into a colour? I mean, I think it's fine, but if you're wanting to look more jolly and lighthearted I think it's the colour that's making a difference.

NashvilleQueen · 20/07/2023 07:56

If it's likely to be a boozy wedding I can just imagine a load of Uncle Nobhead types making hilarious bar code jokes with you after too many pints. It's a lovely classy dress but this would be my fear.

Also as people have said September can sometimes be very warm (especially if you're in the south) so long sleeves might feel too warm.
