I like the coffee scrub! It’s me, I’m the problem.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 15/07/2023 14:29

That green Kate scrub is truly awful tho. Maybe even the dirty coffee would be better on my face!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 15/07/2023 14:31

@DaisyDando if I thought it would do my cellulite good, I could maybe cope a bit better. I have tried using coffee grounds and olive oil before. Ask me how that went...

PomRuns · 15/07/2023 14:33

At least the Margaret Dabbs has stopped.

sorry if I’ve jinxed

MotherofTerriers · 15/07/2023 14:35

ooo I forgot the Margaret Dabbs

CinnamonCoffee · 15/07/2023 14:38

£12.99!! Bargain I'll have 10 😂

MavisMcMinty · 15/07/2023 15:01

I don’t know if Liberty are as “generous” with their black eyeliners as all the other beauty boxes, but I have dozens of the bloody things and not only are they far too hard and unflattering on me, but nobody else I know ever uses them either, can’t give ‘em away.

And I have a lifetime’s supply of mascara, don’t need any more, I have 4 on the go already!

DaisyDando · 15/07/2023 15:53

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants Ha! And, how did that go?

redredwineub40 · 15/07/2023 16:06

Oh yes, so many mascaras! So many eyeliners here too. Not all of the mascaras have been rubbish at least

listsandbudgets · 15/07/2023 16:16

@MavisMcMinty Get yourself acquainted with some goth / emo teens and your black eye liners will find a perfect home! Honestly alive had various bits I dint want in advent before and I jist give them to DD and she either keeps or distributed to her friends

Far from it, Chantecaille is now mine of choice - discovered via some freebie or other.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 15/07/2023 18:14

@DaisyDando it was messy, and the cellulite remains allas! Grin

AprilLady · 15/07/2023 21:08

Found you all - thanks for the new thread @Housewife2010

So, not a happy story. I ordered the Scent kit as soon as I saw the email, thinking it was exactly my sort of thing, fantastic value and likely to sell out fast. However, as I was away I hoped it wouldn’t get delivered too quickly. Unfortunately Liberty use Amazon not DPD, so when you get the delivery notification there is no way to ask them to delay delivery. Parcel was delivered Thursday afternoon. I was supposed to be back home early today, but circumstances out of my control meant it was only this evening that I got home. I was really looking forward to opening the kit once home. Parcel was indeed at the door - but rippped open and empty. So someone walking past the house has stolen it. Annoyingly, it must have been left out in the open for a passer-by to see. It would have been quite possible for the delivery person to leave it out of sight without too much trouble. So, so disappointed.

MavisMcMinty · 15/07/2023 21:14

Oh no! How horrible.

PomRuns · 15/07/2023 21:22

Oh that’s awful @AprilLady
Email Liberty ?

oneweecraw · 15/07/2023 21:23

Definitely email
Liberty. Their customer service is fantastic.

Blossomtoes · 15/07/2023 21:26

That’s so disappointing @AprilLady. Even if Liberty refund you - and I’m sure they will - it won’t compensate.

SweetSakura · 15/07/2023 21:47

Oh how awful @AprilLady , hopeless of the delivery person and horrible of whoever took it!

AprilLady · 15/07/2023 22:14

Thanks all - I’ve emailed Liberty, but not really expecting much.

I also ordered the scent collection, which I found by chance 24 hours after delivery pushed into my hedge. It was soaking wet, but still there at least which is kind of a miracle.

LoveLabradors · 16/07/2023 10:16

Hope you get it sorted @AprilLady . I much preferred it when Liberty used DPD. Amazon just leave stuff on our doorstep too which drives me mad!

MavisMcMinty · 16/07/2023 10:40

One of our local Amazon drivers is terrified of dogs, including my lovely non-scary dogs. “Yeah, they all say that!” he protested when I promised they wouldn’t hurt him. So he just chucks packages over the gate into the garden.

Surely fear of dogs would be a severely disabling factor for a delivery driver? Most of the others carry dog treats around in their pockets!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 16/07/2023 11:31

I'm suprised they still use Amazon delivery tbh, although ours are better than some mentioned upthread. The only thing worse would be Evri.... I'm assuming that Amazon had the cheapest quote. If Liberty get enough complaints, they may rethink it and up their game, but maybe currently it's still cheaper to replace or refund the odd delivery than getting a more reliable one.

@MavisMcMinty have you had your speshul birfday yet? Grin

Delivery drivers have a shared list of houses with unruly dogs. There is no reason for him to be avoiding all dogs. He is in the wrong job!

Actually Evri where I live are 100 times better than Amazon. I would rejoice if Liberty switched. I've come very close to cancelling my Beauty Drop as the stress of Amazon being their delivery 'partner' is just awful. My missing Scents in Love parcel finally turned up yesterday (on Amazon's third 'attempt) but it took me 2 hours to find it as they didn't leave it in my safe place by which point I'd had to ask my neighbour to check cctv. They're a nightmare. Especially when you know something is sold out so no matter how good Liberty customer service is, when it's 'lost' you'll never be able to get what you actually ordered replaced.
