Hello again! Thread 33 or something!

@ScottishMouse sadly much damaged in the war, very controversially.
So quite a lot of it is modern, but Gelderland itself is very lovely with some beautiful little towns. I love the Netherlands, In particular West Fresia, South Holland and Utrecht. The area between top bit of Belgium and the Netherlands is stunning, islands and huge long causeways. Dutch culture is very special and upholds European quiet Sundays which I'm very pleased about. 😀

Oar check dress.. a late 'wild card' sale purchase.. I Love it!!

My sister tried that shirt @Theteapotsbrokenspout It looked lovely on so I don’t know why she returned it. However, the collar looked nothing like the picture - very floppy.

Wonderful @Laska2Meryls , isn't it a little delight at this price! I was going to wear mine this week but the temp dropped, it would be good with tights and boots but I thought it wasn't quite tights weather.

Having said no more sales, I caught the restock this morning and some Falke socks are now on the way. Also on their way are the Herringbone Trousers in Maple (someone on here recommended- may have imagined that!) and the Check Cotton Cashmere Dress

The latter is a potential addition to an already extensive collection of black(ish) and white(ish) checked dresses (@BettinaInDenmark 😂).

Refunds have been processed promptly by Toast.

Not enamoured with the new collection so far.

I've had a look at the non-sale toast stuff. I really like the new soft double cotton nightdress, but I have 3 in this shape already and the ones I have are all fun prints, checks and plaids, not sure I'm up for the more demure plain versions. I also love the ikat cullote and jacket combo but it's not something that fits with my lifestyle, so I shall just admire that. Thankfully there's not a lot I'm tempted by. I do like some of the dresses though, the selmas in particular, and the crinkle cottons are growing on me too. My "problem" though is going to be the garment dyed boat necks - these look like the same dress pattern as the landscape dress that I've worn several times already since getting it in the sale. I want more of this, but I know half if not more of my love is the print of the landscape that works so well with my hair in particular, so again, these more demure versions may not be for me.

Except the socks. I like some of the new socks.; will be consolation purchases galore.

That made me check out the socks 😂, I would definitely buy more of the falke cosy wool boot socks, they are perfect for me.

@dudsville - I bought a pair in the sale (Jasper?) and they are great.

I got the new Harlequin Print Organic Cotton Pyjamas the other day, they are totally lovely but I did end up sending them back as I thought £130 was a bit foolish after my sale splurge. I wanted the top to wear with shorts in the summer and it would be lovely but I realised I was spending £130 on a simple top. I will snap them up in the sale though for sure!

My username refers to a very beloved and Toast-y (though not from Toast) pair of balloon leg hakama trousers that my DP likes to refer to as my 'clown pants' and refuses to iron.
Perhaps unsurprising I see several things I like in the new collection 😀including the male model's 'performing seal' pose, which will be forwarded to said DP as exemplary.

@Countmeout Couldn’t agree more on the subject of themes, I watched the recent film about the new collection when Circus tents were mentioned several times as inspiration for designs.
Just received a nice ruffle collar shirt which I love , joining @BettinaInDenmark and t@Theteapotsbrokenspout in liking a frill.
I wore it straight away tucked into side button Annie jeans , I fantasised that it gave me an Edwardian vibe.

Do you have hink the colour of this pyjama shirt is redeemable? I’m not sure what I was thinking about tbh! Could I get it to the sort of herb colour of the pique shirt? Or basically just mute it somehow! Keep in mind it would have to be gold water dye in a bucket, I’ll find myself under the patio if I ruin another washer dryer. @Laska2Meryls? Anyone?

I was really looking forward to that top @OftenOrange but it didn't suit me.

I had a wonderful pair of circus/ clown feeling trousers in 1987 @clowniform - I am that old. They were from Next ( when Next was Next) and were white jersey with green spots. I had a matching green sweatshirt/T-shirt thing which was wide and loose. I loved them so much. They were so comfortable and as I had small children at the time , great for running after them in.

So just to add to the navy mariner hemp trouser love this was my outfit today - with the jacket too. For those worried about colour transfer I have just taken off and inspected the white t shirt and it is pristine 😍

And can I ask for opinions on this please? The material and make is so so good. I am unsure about the waist though I might try belt rather than the ties?

I finally got my hands on my sale stuff ordered at the start of the sale.
The Stack and Oat check jumpsuits were sadly a fail , as was the padded needle cord jacket . Silhouette all wrong for my shape.
By a miracle all were received back by my local store, huge sigh of relief .

I’m keeping the ochre Ruffle Shirt, Cornflower Japanese block print dress ( gorgeous fabric , very voluminous but do-able) and the beiges/ golden Maya.

However I bought a dress from the new collection , the colour suits me better than the two from the sales, but it’s very,very bright. It’s either stunning or hideous ….The brown and turquoise version was lovely too and obviously less out there.
Will post photo tomorrow.

Well now I have horrific flashbacks to a white mini circle skirt with giant turquoise dots, around mid-80's. I believe a turquoise mesh top was also involved 😬. I wasn't allowed out, but there was a photo, must ensure it has been destroyed!

My final order came and alas its not my final order
The Canvas Utility trousers in herb are lovely but I've lost around 11lbs now and think I will probably lose another 10 and the size 12s are loose now so I've ordered a size 10.

The Cotton/ cashmere dress is lovely, so soft but the one I was sent had a really annoying pattern placement at the waist, where 2 checks were joined but in the middle of the check, so no line.
Difficult to picture really but it looks like a wide plain bit of fabric in the middle of the check dress, Ive reordered and will send this one back with with whichever trousers I keep.
Very annoying!
The Drawstring Collar tunic dress is lovely, gorgeous dark slate heavy twill.
An absolute gem and so much nicer than the picture, it's a loose shirt dress and will be so useful.
I ordered a small and a medium and both fit but I'm keeping the medium as its longer and just drapes beautifully, so flattering.
FYI I'm tall and it's about 3 inches below the knee , so longer than the picture shows, the pic being an xs.
Bit of a grumble but why not show toast clothes on all sizes rather than just xs?

Finally based on the lovely picture @Laska2Meryls posted I've ordered the Oar check dress in a medium.

About the clown collar shirts: The designer Laura something was wearing a chambray one in the video yesterday and I did think it looked nice on her, but the though of having a shirt I couldn't unbutton the top couple of buttons makes me reject the whole concept - also, what happens when you wear a coat? Doesn't it go all over the place?

Anyway, I came on here because someone said they'd ordered the beautiful Fracap mules but I can't remember who It was. I'd love to know if they're nice?

My final order arrives tomorrow but I am a bit dispirited with all the orders and returns - it's quite off-putting!

I wonder if Toast will offer an artisanal hoop (made of twigs) once their new theme gets going properly?
