Back after work trip, so much excellent info here which is very useful.
I've not had time to access the sale for the last 8 days so I've halted now and stuck with my initial purchases.
These...
A line skirt in Breen and Shell, true to size and a lovely useful classic shape.
Indigo trapeze dress, fitted nicely on top, rather full skirted but beautifully dramatic!
Oar Check Dress, a bargain.. I ordered two and will make the second into a skirt.
Gingham Seersucker Cotton Shirt and matching skirt, the fabric I love and I'm more of a fitted type of person, I also wear the shirt as a jacket, great for travel with a carry on.
Mariner Hemp skirts in both colours, fabric is quite weighty but I will wear them to death over 3 seasons, and can create tons of outfit variations.
Mariner trousers in indigo and the navy for the same reasons.
Mariner Hemp jacket to match all 4 pieces above.
I bought a few workwear pieces, in canvas, twill, as my job sometimes involves clambering over building sites and I don't want to spend lots on those.
Phew! Seems excessive as I write those down, but like many here I wait for the sales and use all my wardrobe everyday, I don't have best things, only 2 or 3 beloved outfits for special occasions.
An illness, where I lost my sight for 2 years, 6 years ago, gave me a kick up the backside.. it taught me to live in the moment, reduce, reuse, minimise. Wear my stuff everyday.
I'm not sure about the new stuff so far, I like the Walnut workwear dress, the Walnut herringbone jacket, and the silk scarf we caught a glimpse of in the styling video that I saw today, not yet released.
My style is unfussy, a kind of streamlined 1920/30's look, the crepe dresses, fitted alpine/scandi jumpers, a line skirts, wide trousers fitted high up the waist, winter chalet wear! Mixed with Old Town (the quirky workwear company in Norfolk) for work! So the Everyday Theatre isn't too appealing so far😏
I agree @Dee1224 about the model you mentioned, I think I've bought most of what she has modelled, including the whole twill workwear ensemble! Her style is more mine, I find the location pics so much better at creating a good idea of how the pieces will perform, and also for styling.
Sorry, long post, just catching up on the thread!
