Juan Carlos was a handsome fellow in his day. Felipe is too but in a different way. The two princesses look almost too pretty to be true.

I think Felipe is way more handsome than Juan Carlos - at any age - but to leave style aside for a moment, I am sad that the later events in Juan Carlos' reign meant his deflection of a military coup in 1981 is now overlooked.

Agreed, @Pallisers. I am just about old enough to remember Spain under Franco.

Juan Carlos did a lot of good. Apart from the mistress I'm not sure what he did to deserve his fate

I don't know why it hasn't been more widely accepted that linen is no good at all for formal or semi-formal wear. Beach or garden only AFAIAC.

Windsor Castle reception last night. I really love this dress on Sophie and the Duchess of Gloucester looks elegant in the jacket.

Sophie looks lovely, she doesn't often wear dark colours, but the fit and design are good. I really like Brigitte's jacket.

Sophie’s dress is Etro. They make some absolutely lovely clothes - Mary and Max are also fans.

Love Sophie’s dress. Sophies’s style tends to go under the radar but she picks some nice pieces (and the occasional horror!). She’s another Spendy Wendy, I’m surprised she doesn’t get more flak for it, especially from Some Quarters 👀. On the other hand she gives exceptional service and value.
