Because the roche posay anthehelios that I bought at great expense does, and badly.

I've been using the Vichy one and I'm really pleased with it.

TheMurderousGoose · 14/06/2023 09:37

It might be that it's reacting to some other product you're using, something silicone based maybe?

It didn't like LRP sunscreen either, think it might have been too greasy on me. But I don't remember it pilling.

Thepleasureofyourcompany · 14/06/2023 09:38

No, I've put it on a few times this week. Always on clean skin.

As soon as it sinks in if I touch my face it balls. I'm really disappointed 😞

I've found all the garnier ones really good. Got this one on the go now:

www.boots.com/-ambre-solaire-sensitive-face-and-neck-sun-cream-spf50plus-50ml-10153830

Effaclar duo pills on me too which is devastating because I think it's a great product.

Lenovolaptop · 14/06/2023 09:40

I think LRP changed the formula as I had to stop using it after many years as my skin was reacting.

I'm using Eucerin oil control sunscreen now. I only find it peels if I use a primer but if no primer then it's fine under my foundation

Backtobed13 · 14/06/2023 09:41

I use Eucerin. It's the best I've tried ; no residue/pilling.

Needthesun · 14/06/2023 09:42

Do you like a matte or more moisturising feel?

I love the Bioderma Photoderm SPF 50 - it’s on the greasier side which I like but has never pilled and I put make up straight on top.

Bondi Sands facial SPF is more matte and doesn’t pill on me, but has lower UVA I think.

LadyEloise1 · 14/06/2023 09:44

I use a Nivea moisturiser with SPF 50 - Nivea Cellular Luminous Anti Dark Spot Day Fluid with SPF 50.
It doesn't pill.

CeraVe do a moisturiser with SPF
50.
I've bought it but yet to try it.

HeidiUpTheMountain · 14/06/2023 09:44

I use Eucerin or Nivea; both work very well even under makeup, with no residue or pilling.

Good shout. I like their moisturiser too.

Paula's choice does a couple of options. I find oily ones pilling.

Justcashnosweets · 14/06/2023 10:18

I really like the Cetaphil factor 50 face cream. I've tried so many that either pil, or make my skin break out in spots but this one does neither. And its less than a tenner.

LunaNorth · 14/06/2023 10:25

UltraSun never pills.

Farmageddon · 14/06/2023 10:40

Garnier Ambre Solaire SPF50 Super UV liquid is basically a dupe of the La Roche Posay, but cheaper.
I switched a few years ago and actually like it better than LRP.

Mercurial123 · 14/06/2023 10:41

Ultrasun spf 50 fluid, not the cream, is excellent.

StoneColdAlibi · 14/06/2023 11:34

Second Bioderma Photoderm SPF 50 - it's also a great base for make up

LanfordLunchBox · 14/06/2023 11:40

I have Carbon Theory’s SPF50+ and find it goes on really well without being greasy.

RebulahConundrum · 14/06/2023 11:43

The Boots Once one is good, lasts 8 hours and doesn't pill. It is a tad greasy though so I use powder with it

DibbleDooDah · 14/06/2023 11:47

Frezyderm. Bad name, game changing for facial sunscreen

Lighttodark · 14/06/2023 11:51

Heliocare 360 oil free

Lighttodark · 14/06/2023 11:52

Also contact LRP for a refund!

NowZeusHasLainWithLeda · 14/06/2023 11:53

Garnier as above. Cheap as chips and really hydrating so I'm not using moisturizer in the morning.

balzamico · 14/06/2023 11:54

Biore Watery Essence- super light, really works. Everything else gives me spots
You can get it at &Superdrug now
