Hi all,

I have an array of jeans and beautiful tops but it feels too warm so looking for alternatives to my jeans. What are you all wearing?

I have a couple of things from them. I would say the style is lovely and the quality is OK. I have some trousers in cotton jersey, they look slightly fuzzy but not bobbly - though they're recycled. I have their wool harems, which are great, though.

but even with a healthy BMI I am still getting chub rub. How do people do it?

Physiology. Wider set hips.

I don't find forgotten tribes great quality, not compared to my buddha pants which are amazing.

Oh God, this is me in shorts.

I laughed but in a sympathetic manner. This is why I don't wear shorts outside of my back garden or the beach.

Long shorts a la TinyBarista . Wear them most of the summer.

My summer wardrobe is pretty slim. I have:
Casual dresses - 2. One 10 year old MaxMara sun dress, which zips at the side, square necked with wide straps and comes to the knee. One billowy navy COS shirt dress, knee length.
Boden pencil skirt.
2 smarter DVF wrap dresses About 15 years old, Used to wear them with tights and heels, now wear them with sandals or Converse and bare legs.
Wide leg high waisted navy cotton trousers, COS.
Tan 7/8ths pleated tapered trousers, Mother of Pearl.
Navy linen sleeveless, low backed floaty jumpsuit, COS.

Black jersey strappy topped wide-legged jumpsuit, COS.
Various linen, cotton, silk shirts. A vest. A t shirt (actually, nicked from my son).

I am thinking of buying another pair of COS trousers, but I might not get round to it.

Now that I've accepted my pale skin, and am comfortable with my shape, (both which used to make summer a trial for me) I find I have lovely varicose veins. It seems every decade brings new joy!

Dresses! Knee length or midi. I can't bear to wear trousers or jeans in this heat!

I love skirts and live in them over the summer.

Short denim shorts, chino shorts, short skirts. I cycle a lot so shorts are more practical than skirts or dresses

I bought some nice linen paperbag shorts in Matalan today. Lots of colours. Nice deep pockets and generously sized. Cheap too.

Ive just broken into my skirts’ wardrobe!
Bought new tops to freshen the look. Hate my legs but love a skirt.

Wide leg linen trousers with puff sleeved T shirts.

Is there sort of pyramid magic trouser scheme going on or do people just love their magic trousers?

I am looking for nice linen ones but I have some jersey ones on today. Always hate dressing for work/drop offs in stinking heat though! Like to hide my entire legs

Not on this thread but have definitely noticed excessive mention of magic trousers elsewhere. I will say no more....

For hiding entire legs, I go for cotton maxi skirts. I know it's de rigueur on MN nowadays to hate Boden, but this season I've bought two cotton maxi skirts from there that I love and have been getting a lot of wear from.

Yes they are a good call - I think Boden are really good for that type of thing.

I don't know how so many of you are managing to wear trousers in this heat. I find skirts and dresses so much cooler.

Yes. Annoying isn't it!!!

I love the wide trouser look with trainers but I'm a size 18 bottom and think I'll look terrible.
