I have an array of jeans and beautiful tops but it feels too warm so looking for alternatives to my jeans. What are you all wearing?

Short linen skirts - the kind with a drawstring and two pockets on the front. Super handy. Just add trainer's or sandals and a t shirt.

I wore chinos yesterday and was hot even in that because of the waistband. Today it's elasticated linen trousers and a vest top.

I stand by the idea that people should wear what they want, but those magic pants are absolutely not what I would choose to wear.

Don’t understand the magic pants. Surely they are just standard cropped trousers/jeans? What am I missing?

One size fits all fashion like magic pants never works on me.

Currently wearing a cropped jersey short sleeved jumpsuit - it’s fab for this sort of weather but not very smart. I’m also on the lookout for long skirt ideas.

I have these shorts from M&S in a few colours (they do new ones every year). They are really comfy but look smarter than most shorts and are longer than they look on the model.

BHS used to be fab for these and i still have some. M&S usually do them though the quality of the linen not as good. If you can't find this year you should be able to get on vinted/ebay if you search m&s linen skirts as they have done them in the past.

I've bought anti chafe thin cycle short type things from tesco (they have them in next and m&s too.). Make skirts comfy in the heat. I dont have fat legs but when it gets hot i dont like the feel of legs pressing together getting sweaty.

I've go to a pair of flowy beige shorts and also in black, denim cut offs, lots of little sundresses, a couple of pairs of wide three quarter trousers.
I've just lost 3 stone and it's so nice to be back in loads of stuff that didn't fit.

This made me laugh . My nan used to say don't stand in front of the fire else you'll end up with cornbeef legs . Not heard the expression for a long time .

I'm wearing a very slay (in my opinion) cotton Kaftanesque dress (from a garden centre!!!) and looking like an extra from Mamma Mia. Hope that helps someone either via inspiration or just making them feel better about themself for avoiding that particular look.
