Charlene maybe has got a bit bigger which is no bad thing because the poor woman was very ill. She definitely looks better now, but sometimes outfits stop being flattering when you change shape and wide legged trousers can be unforgiving. She's tall and athletic and could pull off bright colours and a strong silhouette.

Anyway. I love Sophie's Etro dress that I posted upthread and am trying to find a less spendy version.....@TracyBeakerSoYeah - are you up for that challenge, my sleuthing friend?

@CliffsofMohair it was @SqueakyDinosaur's comment on Char's trousers and shirt upthread. I think it was mainly the belt at fault.

A lot of physical illness have an impact on mental health as well. From temporary or more permanent loss of mobility, change or restrictive diet, scars, acknowledging we are ageing etc.

I like Sophie's dress.
Sort of like Char's outfit but it doesn't flatter her as much as a sleeker outline does.

I don’t think Charlene’s outfit works for her. The shirt with a more fitted bottom half, or the trousers with a more fitted top half might have done. The belt would look best in the bin…!

Sophie’s dress looks very floaty and cool but I’m in two minds about the pattern around the neckline.

@Maireas East have a good few block print dresses similar style to Sophie's, maybe not quite the colours. I quite fancy this one but I think it might be too peely wally for me
