Was Lady Sarah just wandering around with no security or anything, @Maireas ? I've often wondered how much freedom or independence minor royals have, whether they get hassled in the street or just not recognised by the majority of people.

I think everyone’s confused, Maireas, as she looks so similar all the time!

I think your average passer-by wouldn't have a clue who Sarah was so she can probably go about her day fairly anonymously. Same for the likes of Ladies Helen or Gabriella. They get the perks of royalty without the downsides!

Yes, @Papergirl1968 - just walking down the street to the tube, on her own. My neighbour used to see Tim Laurence walking in Green Park on his own, and used to see the now Serena, Lady Snowdon walk her children to primary school. I think a lot of celebs and minor royals can go under the radar and keep it low key.

The Dutch royals are still in Belgium. Max and Mathilde's outfits have been so well co-ordinated this visit that I assume this was something worked out in advance? Here Mathilde threatens to out-Max Max, with the huge hat and the orange coat! Even their hair is styled similarly.

I see that William and Kate have been announced as presenting one of tomorrow’s trophies, so are obviously attending. Can’t wait to se what new polka-dotted Alessandra Rich dress Kate has to show us…! 😀

I think all but the most senior royals fly under the radar a lot. Before they married, Pss Anne used to join Tim fairly regularly for quiz night at his local pub in Winchester. I know because a family friend was in one of the rival teams.

Kate's becoming more virginal with every passing season. I just want to shout sometimes fhs you're in your prime woman shake it up a bit. Fergie said recently that Diana could work a room like no-one else she's ever met. From sympathetic to flirtatious she had va va voom perhaps an innate skill that aristos have part lady part actress.

I read that there is a tv series being made (presumably for Dutch tv) about how they met and married - the Crown has obviously had an impact! Here’s the actors they have cast to play them.
