Ooh, I quite like Max's kimono thingy.

Could the Kraken wake?

I feel a kimono in paisley nylon could be the ticket…

You know the kimono/kaftan look is a thing for me maireas. I like this ensemble very much.

I don’t think I would look as effortlessly elegant though.

Maireas · 16/06/2023 18:08

I'm praying for that moment, @ArcaneWireless 😂😂

😂

Maireas · 16/06/2023 18:09

I think you could totally rock it with your crocs, @ArcaneWireless . Perfect for walking your wee dugs.

That yacht ❤️
See I reckon we could all get round that dining table and have a cracking time.

You couldn't get me off that yacht. What a jacuzzi for my aching bones. Bliss

ArcaneWireless · 16/06/2023 18:15

i am in my work boots for that. Grips are essential. Either that or I run the risk of getting pulled down the street on my chin if they get giddY - on the sight of their favourite person in the world. (Not me!)

It is like a Scottish Iditarod. No sled necessary.

Steely clumpy boots don’t go with kaftans sadly. And trousers are also necessary. No one needs to see gussets if I go bahookie over bosom.

Maireas · 16/06/2023 18:18

Ah, @ArcaneWireless , you paint quite a picture!

How about when you're on deck on the yacht? I can see a bit of kaftan wafting on board. Maybe we should all wear tiaras when we dine...

A dress would be nicer I think. I also hope we get to see the children!
Pastels are usually de rigeur for this, aren't they?

I was hoping for all 3 Wales children. And a huge hat for all the women. And Cams pearl choker with colour appropriate centre piece.

ArcaneWireless · 16/06/2023 18:24

I’d have a problem with super yacht life. You see everyone titting about on Below Deck (no judgement please) with bare feet.

Would ballet tote slippers be acceptable?

Or if you are posh and part of that life, do you get to wear whatever footwear you want?

I hate feet. Specially mine.

I could eat lovely food though. In a kaftan. I’d be perfectly presentable from the ankle up and neck down!

Maireas · 16/06/2023 18:28

Oh - do we have to go barefoot on the yacht? Oh dear. My feet look like they belong to Nosferatu.
I ain't showing them anytime soon.

You can wear deck shoes or sandals. White soles please the crew don't want black rubber streaks on their teak decking.

She's anchored off the island while the families stay in a villa. So we could parachute in. 🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂

Maireas · 16/06/2023 18:30

Oh thank heavens. Deck shoes it is, with white soles.
@justasking111 - can you arrange parachutes for everyone?

Do you want to watch the trooping of the colour here or on the yacht?

justasking111 · 16/06/2023 18:33

We'd have to heist a private jet calling in at Bristol, Gatwick, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle.

KillingMeDeftly · 16/06/2023 18:34

I thought for a moment, Sophie had joined the Masons here but no, she's been made a Dame Grand Cross of the Order of St John. No idea what said order involves but she looks nice!

What do we think, folks? Yacht?

Yes, that picture does look like a Freemason sort of set up. Looks like Richie Gloucester is some sort of head honcho.

KillingMeDeftly · 16/06/2023 18:40

Now he I think might actual be a Mason!

I grew up in a country where the St John’s society provided all the ambulances! And first aiders at regular sports leagues etc. These days they are a worldwide charity that provides healthcare services, but they started out as a medieval order of knights that cared for the sick. They died out after the dissolution of the monasteries etc, but were refounded in the 1800s.

I used to walk past their headquarters in Clerkenwell (which looks medieval but was heavily reconstructed by the Victorians) a lot.

KillingMeDeftly · 16/06/2023 19:04

Oh I knew about St John's Ambulances of course but I never associated it with a medieval order!
