Love that green/black check set @dudsville. Deciding whether to have another look at the sale now I have calmed down a bit 🤣

Yay @Laska2Meryls that you got an order in!

Sympathies @Noeggsontoast, I was initially purchasing whilst walking home with the sunlight making it hard to see properly! You pulled over, needs must!

I admire the restraint of others. I don't know if anyone has this, but I know my purchasing power will reduce in a handful of years, so I feel like I'm also buying for my older self, for a retired lady who will want to wear nice things.

Anyway, I poured a glass of wine , sat in the breeze on the patio, and had a look back though. So... I'm trying a few jackets (to wear over sleeveless dress, obvs!) as well as the dry organic jersey shirts as other potential "summer jacket" options. This sale usually has (annoying) further additions so I know my card will get a work out.

Ahhhhh, I do love a toast sale.

Tomorrow I shall send back the things I boght in advance of the sale, but also tomorrow I will recieve the red check trousers... I wonder what I'll do with them!

Would appreciate feedback on the red check trousers in terms of sizing but also cit and if they would be a work horse item. I am very tempted by them and they have been in and out of my shopping bag. Many thanks.

ToastCosILoveIt · 13/06/2023 21:33

..cit should read cut…🙄

dudsville · 13/06/2023 21:33

Will do @ToastCosILoveIt !

Also, my orders have been fulfilled. Is this purely a computer task or do they have workers picking orders this late?

ToastCosILoveIt · 13/06/2023 21:38

Many thanks @Countmeout for the heads up. I was at a train station so didn’t actually get to log on until 7pm when the sale officially went live for us Kindreds.

The Prince of Wales jacket and matching trousers were first in my basket as I have been waiting for the sale to purchase them. I had tried them on in store and know that they are very generous in size so fingers crossed.

Of course I then went back in and ordered a few more things, including a full price shirt for DH. I was pleased to get the citrus green tie neck dress which is lovely in the flesh (seen in store) and also the yellow version of the patch pocket poplin dress which I already have in blue and paid full price for. There were also a few other speculative things thrown in but hopefully some of it will go back but I will have scratched an itch in discounting it.

FiddleFigs · 13/06/2023 21:40

I’ve been very restrained. I loaded my sale basket up and then put a lot “back” - I definitely didn’t need it.

I’ve ordered the pique shirt in vanilla (also tempted by the sage, but really don’t need 2), a linen tank and the round collar striped tee. I should have bought socks too, but absolutely not going back in for another look!

Noeggsontoast · 13/06/2023 21:41

@Stravaig It's not the first time the sale has started and I've been away on business. I knew it would happen. I was in and out of the sale like a ninja.

@dudsville now that is super hard to do. Walking and shopping. Glad you could peruse with a wine in the end. Now that's what I'm having now I've just got home. A big glass of red and a relax.

Snowyowl78 · 13/06/2023 21:50

@neveradullmoment99 ooh what’s the sizing/length like? Hard to get a gauge from one flat pic. I am quite liking a pinafore at the moment!

ilovecherries · 13/06/2023 22:06

I am also lounging about it Toast - lying on bed with fan on.

Oooohhh I’m loving the sale, snagged a good few items and hope they are all keepers. Bit sad as the sand Les they had were all in very small sizes so wouldn’t fit me, I could have bought 5 pairs if they had !!!

Lovelybrowneyedboy · 13/06/2023 22:33

Help, where can I find the sale? There are no sale items on the website

applecatchers36 · 13/06/2023 22:43

Ilovecherries that looks the perfect loungewear for this weather to keep cool

Lovelybrowneyedboy I think you need to log in as kindred to see it?

Have placed two orders in the frenzy of this evening. Two sizes of the walnut shorts, wildflower PJ's and the tie citrus cardigan will see if any is any good...

Noodle421 · 13/06/2023 22:45

Stoic123 · 13/06/2023 19:54

@Noodle421 - love the panelled dress. Favourite buy from Toast so far this year.

Oh goodie, that’s great to hear. I look forward to its arrival. Have a great time in Copenhagen. Would love to hear what you make of all the cool fashion and how it compares to Toast if/when you have a moment.

MiracleToast · 13/06/2023 22:52

Realised that I ordered the dhuggie in a Medium thinking it was new sizing. Will an old sizing Medium be massive for a regular size 10 me? It’s sold out in small now so feeling a bit deflated. If anyone has this please reassure me!

Firesideknitting · 13/06/2023 22:53

I love that dress, it’s sat in my basket. Hopefully the shirt in similar style will come on the website soon

Snowyowl78 · 13/06/2023 21:00

Anyone got the Eda pinafore? I’m trying it, seems quite old, only one picture.

I got this today it’s so lovely, I love the top half, I wonder if the bottom of it swamps me a bit, I really want it to suit me, however I think I might be too short for it
https://www.toa.st/products/robyn-cotton-poplin-tiered-dress-blue-grey

I’ve ordered the Eda pinafore. I love Toast pinafore dresses so I have a good feeling I’ll like this one too. My friend bought one a few years ago and it looks great. If you wear a cropped boxy jumper, the bottom section looks like a skirt. It’s very versatile.

It’s through a link, I think it’s for kindred members initially(early access)

Lovelybrowneyedboy · 13/06/2023 22:57

Thank you for the advice. What do you have to do to qualify for "Kindred"?

happysoju · 13/06/2023 23:04

Ahhh! The long awaited sale! Happy to finally get the barrel dungarees that I've missed out on in the last 2 sales, but otherwise was pretty disappointed in the selection.
Seems like only the wales check jacket/pants from my wishlist was on sale, everything else still full price. When is the end of summer sale? Might just hold out for that one.

Norwegianwoodsman · 13/06/2023 23:07

That is my question too @Lovelybrowneyedboy

I have bought from Toast regularly and during the last month, am registered for their emails, but still don't seem to have “kindred” status.

Firesideknitting · 13/06/2023 23:13

Lovelybrowneyedboy · 13/06/2023 22:57

Thank you for the advice. What do you have to do to qualify for "Kindred"?

It’s applied every January (I think). So even if you’d bought loads, it is applied in the January based on last years orders, there’s a free gift every so often, as well as free shipping. Free access to certain events (loads get postponed). Then early access to the sale. I don’t know what the minimum spend is, I spend far too much, but toast clothes are so easy and practical for me. So most definitely worth the cost.

AmethystMoonShine · 13/06/2023 23:21

Thank you @Countmeout for the heads up :)
Ive gone for basics, socks, tees and thermal tops for winter.
Trying a few new shapes in tees and long sleeve tops. Can’t keep it all!

Lovelybrowneyedboy · 13/06/2023 23:23

Thank you @Firesideknitting. I probably don't spend enough, especially not in January.

Firesideknitting · 13/06/2023 23:27

Lovelybrowneyedboy · 13/06/2023 23:23

Thank you @Firesideknitting. I probably don't spend enough, especially not in January.

It’s not based on January spend, it’s applied 1st jan, for the previous years spends. So everything you will have spent since jan 1st this year will count.

Dee1224 · 13/06/2023 23:28

@Lovelybrowneyedboy and @Norwegianwoodsman -don’t worry - the sale will go live to everyone soon. There will be lots of returns, so if stuff you want is sold out, keep looking.

As for getting ‘chosen’ for Kindred - I think it depends on how much you buy full price. I have been guilty of buying loads during sale time over the last 18 months or so, but that doesn’t seem to count 🙃. My sister buys quite a lot full price and that seems to do the trick - but sometimes who get chosen seems a bit random!
