Nope. Winters have dark hair but light coloured eyes. The OP has lovely dark eyes.

Deep Winters have dark hair and eyes

I am really drawn to brilliant white! I saw a woman today wearing a crisp white shirt with jeans and she looked so effortlessly gorgeous, I'm definitely going to give it a try

@RobinHumphries and @CheeseMuffin just to throw another spanner in the works - my eyes change colour depending on the light!

‘Dark Winter eyes are, of course, dark. It’s no surprise that the most common eye colours are dark brown and black. Very dark olive, dark hazel and even a very deep, cool blue are also possible. You may notice a border defining the iris and spokes on the iris, which are characteristic of Winter eyes.’

Hmm, I don’t think I agree with everyone else. Imo, where you’re wearing black, or black and white, the high contrast is too harsh and washes you out. The strong lipstick in one of them to me doesn’t look right for you, but your face really comes alive when everything is softer and more natural, you look glowy and lovely. The photos where your overall look is softer look more harmonious, and that suggests to me that you’re an Autumn or a Summer. Your golden eyes would make an Autumn more likely.

Have a look at this site- https://www.prettyyourworld.com/ It’s very good for self-analysis and comparing between two seasons. There’s also a whole bit about how common it is for women of colour to be misdiagnosed as Winter!

as a woman of colour, i feel your pain, in that much of the advice online for colouring is written with white women in mind and it's difficult to apply those principles to us, because we generally have less variation in hair and eye colour.

i self diagnosed myself as an autumn and i think you may be one as well. what's confusing is that sometimes, you do look cool toned, but i think that may just be harsh lighting. i tend to wear autumn colours - i haven't worked out my sub-season, but i'm fine with that.

a few tips-

  • if you are cool toned, silver will look better on you, or gold if you are warm toned. this will knock out 50% of the seasons.
  • google colour palates and see if you are drawn to a particular one - we tend to favour the ones that suit us most.
  • go shopping with the colour palettes and try on clothes in those colours, take picture abx see which ones suit you best.
  • get colour matched for a foundation at a Department store, as many brands will have cool or warm foundations. Clinique once colour matched me as a cool foundation and when the put the foundation on me, i told the SA, that whilst the shade was right the colour just didn't look like me and so we changed it to the warm equivalent and i'd felt more like my face. That's how i determined i was a warm season.
  • have a look at famous people in your shortlisted seasons and see what does abc doesnt work for them. Even if they don't look like you, it can be helpful.

good luck.

I've been doing the kettle well quiz and came out as winter but hare the colours!
You are beautiful and FWIW I think white is better as is the aqua and striped top

SteveBuscemisRheumyEye · 06/06/2023 13:00

What do we think of this colour??

I think you look nice here because you are pretty, not necessarily because it's a great colour on you. I'd like to see you in a top the same colour as the towel you had on your head in one of the pictures up thread. I think that would look more amazing than this.

Mmhmmn · 06/06/2023 14:20

John Lewis website has a personal styling section that asks you questions and suggests colours, clothes etc based on your answers. It was quite good, it suggested colours that I always felt best in and had had positive comments on.

coxesorangepippin · 06/06/2023 14:22

I think you'd suit:

Olive Green
Dark grey
Burgundy

wildflowerlove · 06/06/2023 14:36

Op you may try more bright colours, sort of jewel tones.

mintich · 06/06/2023 14:47

Highly recommend Emily Innes of style me happy. I was very happy with my analysis and its very reasonable.
Also follow Francesca Cairns and Carole Brailey. Both amazing at explaining undertone

I agree, you do have a lovely face and similar colouring to Meghan Markle but she wears lots of camel colours, I didn't think they were a Winters colours though?

MM is a deep autumn. She wears deep, muted and warm colours

spidersenses · 06/06/2023 15:27

There's a board on Reddit that has loads of people who know their stuff on there. If you posted your images there they would help you.

You have some warm and dark features, so I wouldn't be surprised if you're a dark winter or a dark autumn. They contain qualities of both seasons basically.

It's your skin undertone that colour analysts look for, so it doesn't matter who outwardly you have similar colouring too (eg I saw Megan Markle mentioned a few times).

RugratsRagz does colour analysis online for less than £30 on Etsy. I highly recommend her. She helped me figure out my colour season where people charging significantly more has failed! Good luck.

teezletangler · 06/06/2023 15:46

I don't think that colour is right for you. I agree about the colour analysis forum on Reddit, but to be fair it's a lot of amateurs and many of them don't know what they're talking about either, but there are some posters with good knowledge. If you drape yourself in different warm and cool colours and take photos in indirect natural light (by a window) and post them, they will be able to help you.

Plutonium7000 · 06/06/2023 15:46

Compare yourself wearing silver and gold jewellery / brilliant white and a strong cream / hot pink and a pumpkin orange.

You look like a dark autumn or a dark winter to me. Freckles suggest autumn but its difficult to tell because in all the pictures you've posted you are wearing cool colours. The fact you seem drawn to cool colours and look great in the pink top suggests winter colouring. It might help if you can post pics of you with warm oranges / camels / olive greens?

Personally I think that comparing pink and orange is the easiest way to tell. You'll probably be naturally drawn to one or the other.

hotelmotelpremierinn · 06/06/2023 16:00

I know nothing about "colours", but you look great in all the photos you've posted. Seriously I'd try not to worry about it too much.
Beautiful lady!

Thank you! I've just done mine, cool summer apparently!

theblackradiator · 06/06/2023 16:12

what the heck are colours?? does it just mean what colour clothing suits you best?

It's unfortunately notorious for telling most people with dark hair and dark eyes that they're a winter. I've been hanging round the colour analysis board on Reddit too much Grin

SteveBuscemisRheumyEye · 14/06/2023 12:52

Update! So I had my colours done by Emily and Style me Happy and I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I am...

<drumroll>

BRIGHT SPRING!

I don't think it matters OP...you look beautiful in every pic.

renthead · 14/06/2023 15:24

Interesting! The brightness of that palette looks like it will you suit you. I am surprised that you are a warm season. You should come back and show us pics in some of your colours!

LadyEloise1 · 14/06/2023 15:45

I just googled Bright Spring and someone with your colouring is pictured. Smile
