Snag chub rub shorts help?

I love a pair of chub rub shorts but the ones I’ve been wearing in previous summers are cotton and quite thick which sucks on a roasting day.

I’ve heard Snag chub rub are much cooler and would love to try a pair but I’m so confused on the sizing. It doesn’t help that I’m between sizes. I’m a 10/12 and 5ft6 so going on their size chart I should be either a C or a D but I really don’t want them to be uncomfortable and cutting in especially when sitting down. Can anyone help? Please!

You're more likely a c, I think.
I'm comfy in a d and I'm a 16/18.
They're really comfy and not warm at all.

To be honest I found the shorts from The Big Bloomers Company to be better.

FirstFallopians · 29/05/2023 13:38

I’m a size 12 and wear a D- they’re perfect.

I really rate them- light enough that they keep you cool but substantial enough that you don’t need knickers.

JediIsMyMaster · 29/05/2023 13:39

Their sizing is weird but I can’t see you being more than a C (possibly even a B)

I find them good and not warm, but they don’t last quite as well as the thicker ones.

purser25 · 29/05/2023 13:45

I understand the Popsy ones are good.

Soontobe60 · 29/05/2023 13:47

M+S shorts are much better IMO.

Go for the bigger size

countrybump · 29/05/2023 13:51

I love them. I’m a 12 and wear a D. No cutting in, no rolling down and plenty cool
enough. Mine have lasted pretty well - I’ve got some that are now seeing their 3rd summer. Just be careful how you wash them - I often pop them inside a laundry bag or pillow case to avoid them snagging on anything.
I’ve just ordered another 3 pairs for this year as I wear dresses pretty much daily over the summer and these are brilliant under them.

Really appreciate the replies so far but such a cross section of opinions! Fingers crossed for some more replies and I’ll go with the majority

Pretty sure I had C in their tights and am 5ft 7 and 14/16. They're big.

Dinopawus · 29/05/2023 15:01

Different approach - but have you tried roll on deodorant? I was sceptical, but it works well for me and is obviously cooler than shorts.

HollyGolightly4 · 29/05/2023 15:03

Snag shorts are fab, I'd suggest C

Doggymummar · 29/05/2023 15:05

You can ask them online chat

happyinherts · 29/05/2023 15:59

Totally unnecessary in my opinion, unless for decency purposes! I'm bigger than you - my thighs rubbed so much I blistered my skin. The answer? Good old Vaseline. Lasts all day. No chub rub.

Marylou62 · 29/05/2023 16:06

Read this with interest but does anyone know where I can get a cotton version of these please?

dementedpixie · 29/05/2023 16:10

My dd likes the ones from the Big Bloomer company too.

Otterock · 29/05/2023 16:48

I’m a 12 and always go for C. They’re fab!

bonfirebash · 29/05/2023 16:51

I'm bigger but the sizing is fairly flexible as their tights/shorts are stretchy
I can wear an E or F in tights

WhineWhineWhineWINE · 29/05/2023 17:12

Snag chub rub shorts are a game changer for me! Love them

VimtoVimto · 29/05/2023 17:17

I much prefer the Jockey Skimmies to the Snag shorts.

Wrongsideofpennines · 29/05/2023 17:19

I would go for a C or even a B. I'm a 14-16, 5ft 4 and was still wearing my Ds at 41 weeks pregnant. They're super stretchy.

I've not tried any other brands but I really like them. They were more comfortable than any of the other solutions I tried like deodorant and bandelettes and anti-chafe gel.

I bought snag tights and their size chart was way off and they fall down consistently. When I complained to their customer services I was told I must have read the chart wrong, which I found a bit patronising. When I confirmed I hadn't and confirmed my size/height, they agreed I had the right size according to that, but confirmed the size chart doesn't always work, which is a bit diff when they don't do free returns and you can't try them anywhere. That put me off getting this shorts so will try some of these other suggestions

Colinorpercy · 13/06/2023 15:27

Did you get any @Godofwar ? I’ve been thinking about getting snags but it’s the fact they are tights material that’s putting me off.
