Looking for a really good foundation

Can anybody please recommend me a really good foundation?

I currently use Estée Lauder double wear which I used to love but I'm finding it's becoming quite cakey on my skin. My skin isn't great but isn't terrible - it's quite blotchy.

I am very pale and find even the palest shades look orange on me.

I'm looking for full coverage.

I tried the one that's always shown on Facebook - can't remember the name - and that was probably the worst foundation I've ever used 🤣☹️

Any help would be massively appreciated!

Thank you 😊

I love Double Wear but agree it can be cakey, so in the summer I mix it with the double wear primer to thin it and brush it on with an IT cosmetics brush, I then spritz it with the Charlotte Tilbury Air brush setting spray - that really is a game changer, it's a gorgeous product, 20% off on ASOS at the moment.

I really rate Pat McGrath but you need a good primer if you want it to last a whole day! I use the Pat McGrath primer also.

There's a sale on their website at the moment :)

@changewhale yes they seem to have a lot of sales recently! I last brought the foundation for £25 when it is usually around £60, I brought 3 bottles to last me a while!

Which DW primer do you use please? There seems to be a few.

I use this one @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor, I mix it with the DW foundation, apply it with a flat headed brush and then spritz with the CT setting spray, it makes it glowy but still long lasting

Another vote for IT Cosmetics CC foundation, it is amazing and gives full coverage.

SueblueNZ · 24/05/2023 23:08

@isthismylifenow , I will explore that Revlon one. The search for my holy grail foundation continues.

The IT cosmetics CC cream transfers off the skin so badly. I end up with it everywhere

Just wanted to let you know I tried your primer /SW tip and it's brilliant! I bought a cheap silicone free primer ,Wet n Wild Impossible, just to try it out and it's fantastic! Going to get a sample of the Estee Lauder one to trial it out. Thank you 💐
