Like a leather jacket, but not a leather jacket?

I could really do a with a short jacket that works with everything (jeans, dresses etc) and can be dressed up or down.

The obvious thing would be a short leather biker jacket...but I just don't like them (well I like them on other people but they're just not me somehow).

What else would fill the same gap in the wardrobe?

I saw someone yesterday in a leather jacket that wasn't a blazer or a biker but something in between. It was very slim and simple - lovely. No idea where it was from though. That Autograph one is the closest thing to it I think

I have a leather blazer that I wear a lot. And also 2 blazers - one in linen. But am on a similar quest for a spring jacket.
