Like a leather jacket, but not a leather jacket?

I could really do a with a short jacket that works with everything (jeans, dresses etc) and can be dressed up or down.

The obvious thing would be a short leather biker jacket...but I just don't like them (well I like them on other people but they're just not me somehow).

What else would fill the same gap in the wardrobe?

What about this? Ruth Langsford has other colours/patterns of the same bomber jacket on QVC too. The snake print option is neutral and on the video it shows how the jacket can be dressed up or down.

Def not for everyone but suits my shape/colouring so works as a neutral for me. Zara also always has loads of cropped cotton-y jackets in various colours.

I keep clicking on every link thinking “maybe this is the one!” but so far nothing is. Maybe I just don’t like jackets full stop?

I've been looking for the same jacket since I had one stolen 20 years ago. Mine was beige, nipped in waist, short with lapels. The superdry one you've also found is the closest I've come.

There are different 'styles' of biker jackets and it's finding the right one. Not every 'style' suits everyone. Some are too boxy, some are too chunky, some too baggy,some too much metal.

I've 3 (1 black leather, 1 cream leather and one green faux suede) and live in them, all came from River Island. I really want a tan one (leather or suede) but can't justify it.
