Agree with the shaving foam vibes. Having had another look the day dresses are growing on me.
Kates dress is stunning, I would have taken the chance to give a different tiara an outing, I’m a bit bored of that one.
Bea looks fabulous, and refreshing to see the York tiara too! Edo scrubs up well too.

According to my admittedly limited research, the aristocracy had (maybe still do) a practice of limiting tiara wearing to married women. I came across a picture of Anne Glenconner with her mother and unmarried sister at a ball. Anne and her mother were wearing tiaras, but the sister wasn't. (Maybe like that rule I learned from Gosford Park and Downton Abbey that only married women could have breakfast in bed.)

But royals didn't follow the tiara practice. As others have said, Anne and Margaret wore tiaras before marriage. More recently the Swedish princesses did and others as well.

Dr Biden always looks stylish, although I'm never keen on shiny fabrics. No idea why her daughter is in black. Princess Elisabeth looks nice too, with Philippe, but no sign of Mathilde?

I love both of Kate's gowns today. The day one is very interesting, and I think the colour looks good on her. The evening look is totes glam.

Favourite day look I've seen so far is Elisabeth of Belgium. Sublime colour and she looks great.

Am looking forward to seeing a full post from one of the Royal fashion sites soon!

Not too keen on Kate's evening dress - looks very shimmery - but do like the hairstyle.

The colour POW has chosen today both for the wedding and reception just makes me think of calomine lotion. It's just dreary.

Kate's dress is a pink version of her green Pakistan gown.

Here's the groom's sisters. Salma's dress is pretty but I'm not sure she's that into clothes. Iman is more of a fashionista but here she looks like she's going to play some sort of galactic senator in the next Star Wars film!

I just watched the entirety of the receiving line at the reception on YouTube. In addition to Dr Biden and her daughter, Ashley, Nancy Pelosi, the former US Speaker of the House was there, and also David and Samantha Cameron.

I think Beatrice really stood out. She looked stunning and she has a nice animated but natural way about her. The York tiara, which I never expected to see again, really suits her. I think she would make a great working royal. Maybe Uncle Charles will rethink that. Also he needs to give her an order so she can wear a sash at these fancy do's.

Kate looks amazing, as expected.

Bea looks incredible too, so pleased she gets a tiara occasion, the York tiara is very pretty and suits her so well. She's really grown up to be a very gorgeous and stylish woman. Edo must have really rubbed off on her... ehem... :)

The groom’s two sisters acted as the bride’s attendants as she walked through the entrance hall, though the gardens, up and down steps and round water features - poor things were kept very busy making sure her train and veil stayed clean and in place!

I think Béa really stands out, she looks fabulous and seems to be really coming into her own.

Catherine’s is elegant but a bit colourless. Much prefer the green version. Love the earrings though, proper bling.

SamCam looks like she's borrowed a dress from CPV!

The back of Rajwa's dress is stunning. I noticed she was escorted up the aisle by Rania's younger son - has her father passed away? Or is it not Jordanian tradition for fathers to walk their daughters up the aisle?
