Hotter Tourist sandals

I've decided I quite like the look of these (please ignore if you don't like them - I don't care).

Does anybody have them?

Are they comfortable?

What's the sizing like?

Thank you. :)

I have had them for a couple of summers. Wider fit based on the size charts. They are very comfortable, usually all foot ware gives me blisters but these haven't. Mine are white, look good with jeans and dresses.

GayPareeee · 06/05/2023 13:58

I've had them, they're pretty comfy, sizing came up true and my wide feet fitted birth normal and wide versions.

I got rid in the end as the heel was too high for need, but I am ridiculously unable to cope with anything vaguely raised

DeclineandFall · 06/05/2023 13:58

These are the best sandals I have ever worn. I have a dodgy ankle but I can walk all day in them. I have had 3 pairs. However I don't like the new styling with the round buckle. The old square buckle looked more birkenstocky and less old lady. I was toying with getting moshulu ones instead this year but prob will go with the hotter ones as I know they are comfortable. I find sandals really hard to get as they just have rubbish support. Everyone always comments how nice they are. I have bought a 6 in the past and I'm usually a 6.5.

Doggymummar · 06/05/2023 13:58

As you say you don't care I say they look like Scholl orthopaedic sandals

Do you feel better now?

I've just noticed that they have made the buckle gold as well which I don't like. I might have to try moshulu.

I love hotter sandals. I have the similar design from 2 years ago and I wore them for 2 weeks every day in extreme heat in Italy. Mine are silver and I wore them all day and for a couple of formal evenings. I wear them pretty much all the time in the summer at home too. They still look as good as new.
The sizing is a bit variable with Hotter, but you can return them/order 2 sizes for choice.
They are in the sale atm. I only ever buy in the sale.

My mum and aunty have these ones:
Easy II Sandals | HotterUK
They look nicer than in the photo, and they both say they are very comfortable.

I'm not keen on the round buckles either

Easy II Sandals | HotterUK

Our much-loved Easy sandal has had an upgrade, now crafted with our Cushion+ technology to keep you walking in comfort all day long.

Back in the 1970s I had Scholl wooden sandals in about six colours, all the girls in the office kept a couple of pairs under their desks!

I like Ecco sandals too.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/05/2023 14:01

I asked my very stylish daughter and apparently 'ugly old lady sandals' are 'in'. Since I'm an ugly old lady, that's great.

I'm usually a 3.5 or 4 and have narrow feet. Not sure whether to order the slim fit or regular, or the half size or not.

OP posts:
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/05/2023 14:03

Yes, I had a few nice pairs from Scholl back when I was a wee slim young thing.

I don't like those, sorry, Kirsten but they do look comfortable!

I have RA and my feet are often very painful. Hotter sandals are the only ones I can walk in. Being able to walk is more important than anything else for me.

jihinry · 06/05/2023 14:07

My elderly granny wears them. They're not something I would wear, but she has trouble with her feet but can wear these for hours on end. They're like slippers apparently.

Yes my 85 year old MIL is the same. She can't wear anything else as has huge problems with her feet.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/05/2023 14:17

I don't have trouble with my feet, and am not 85 but I want something that is comfortable enough to walk around ten miles in.

Well surely these will be then if people with feet problems find them comfortable?

MrsMariaReynolds · 06/05/2023 14:21

I have a pair. They're very comfy, and I can walk miles in them.

Crabwoman · 06/05/2023 14:21

My gran wears them. She has wide size 8-9 feet, so struggles to fund sandals that fit well.

She says they are the most comfortable sandals she has ever worn and has several pairs.

Yes. That was my point.

OP posts:

I'm going to order them.

People who actually wear them rather than having grans who wear them - any tips on sizing, please?

OP posts:
CinnamonJellyBeans · 06/05/2023 14:35

I have a few pairs. They are more WAY comfortable than the Hotter tropic sandals (which flap around on your feet!) I have wide feet, yet the standard width fits perfectly in my normal size

YellowFleece · 06/05/2023 14:38

I wear a narrow fit and find the sizing spot on. If you're between a half size though I'd size up.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/05/2023 14:49

I've ordered a 4 in a regular fit. Thanks everyone.

Old lady granny orthopaedic shoes here I come... 😬

OP posts:
midlifecd · 06/05/2023 14:57

I have them and I'm mid 30s Blush
I love mine and size is TTS / runs large
I have used mine for 2 summers and I think they are a bit battered now so probably due a replacement
