Liz Truss looks good too and that's the nicest thing you'll ever hear me say about her! Carrie looks like she's raided Diana's 80s wardrobe.

@KillingMeDeftly i think this is the dress Liz Truss was wearing, very versatile for most occasions.

I was going to buy it for a work evening do in a different colour, not sure which one though. I have the same complexion as Priti Patel although that's where the similarity ends......!

She looked beautiful beautiful elegant outfit

LadyEloise1 · 07/05/2023 08:15

Where can I get the best a good look at all the style / fashion worn by guests yesterday please ?

I saw a quick glimpse of Theresa May's outfit but wasn't keen on the little glimpse I got.

Yes, Louise has grown up from being a dowdy teenager into one of those iconic blondes.

Louise has had a difficult journey with her sight, being a teen is hard but with disability even harder. She is supposed to be a kind clever young woman and looked beautiful on the day

Instagram is great for this. There's an account called Royal Fashion Police that breaks all the outfits down.

I found this, which has quite a few

I'm a long time lurker and have honestly learnt so much from these threads!

LadyEloise1 · 07/05/2023 08:47

Thank you @hopeishere and @VikingLady.

I'll be buying Hello too when it comes out. Smile

justasking111 · 07/05/2023 08:52

Second fashion police on Instagram.

One picture of Carrie made me wonder if she was pregnant

hopeishere · 07/05/2023 09:09

I'll be getting hello too but I love online as you can pinch and zoom on the pictures!!

LadyEloise1 · 07/05/2023 09:11

@VikingLady I was just able to see Carole Middleton, Leti and Jill Biden on that Telegraph site ( I think it's behind a paywall ).
Carole Middleton looks different. I can't put my finger on what it is.
I like her blue.
I loved, loved, loved her outfits for her daughters' weddings- the pale blue and the pale pink. Fabulous.

I was right when I posted that Sophie said to Edward "Where's William?"
in the church.
My lip reading has got better.SmileApparently the Walses were delayed.
I thought things were a bit frosty whatever the delay was.

Premiumbondbaby · 07/05/2023 09:16

@justasking111 I thought the same.

DisforDarkChocolate · 07/05/2023 09:17

The Court Jeweler has a great post today.

I bet one of the children disappeared off for an unscheduled toilet break just as they were about to leave!

I remember Norma Major being my surprise hit of HMQ's funeral and I thought I had missed her yesterday but having Googled she didn't attend as she was unwell. I hope she gets well soon.

Maireas · 07/05/2023 09:40

The Wales weren't delayed, the King and Queen arrived 8 minutes too early, so the timings were out. I suppose it's difficult with horses. That's unusual for a royal event, nevertheless. They decided to bring C and C in, rather than them sit in the carriage, or drive round the block! Charles was already anxious so I suppose that didn't help.
Norma Major is ill, I saw Cherie Booth talk to him and say she was sorry to hear that.

I thought it was nice to see Cherie and John Major greeting each other so warmly.

Carol=fillers, and not done very well

Thanks @VikingLady for the telegraph link. I love the last pic with the Roksanda dress

Cherie looked very concerned when talking to him

KillingMeDeftly · 07/05/2023 10:32

I'm not sure it's fillers with Carole, perhaps she hasn't been well and has had to take medication that doesn't agree with her. Steroids can have a similar unfortunate effect.

Maireas · 07/05/2023 10:33

I was thinking steroids as well, @KillingMeDeftly . I hope she isn't unwell.

Speaking of lip reading (apologies if this has been discussed, I can’t comb through this entire thread to check) there’s a clip on Twitter of Charles and Camilla parked outside the Abbey and Charles is having a wee rant. I can definitely lip read him saying “Every bloody time!”

Whether that’s in relation to the William and Katherine arriving after them, or something else, we’ll never know… but I think it was the former 😅

justasking111 · 07/05/2023 10:47

He's a typical Victor Meldrew. Philip was the same. We all know at least one 😂😂

viewsoftheshard · 07/05/2023 11:19

I watched the BBC footage iplayer last night that has no commentary. It’s actually brilliant just watching everyone arrive and chatting, looking bored, the networkers working the abbey, adjusting outfits and seeing how they actually work in real life, trying to spot familiar faces. I actually liked Theresa May’s outfit in motion. Sam Cameron looked very elegant, and her hat seemed quite tactical, stopping her from having to kiss too many people! Will watch the next section tonight when the Foreign Royals arrive.

I'd rather it were bad fillers than steroids for her sake
