Which Dress? (Wedding Reception)

Hi all...
We have a wedding reception to attend in a couple of weeks. It's in a nice location and will be a smart occasion. I have bought two dresses...want to keep them both! Stuck with which to wear......
Navy one is my favourite...but is it too dark? Thinking of Navy accessories...with current weather think it's ok but perhaps not if we end up with a random heatwave!

Green one is cute but the navy one is more flattering....If I don't wear the green, I will keep it as I feel it's more versatile so I could dress it up/down and less likely to "waste" it... Plan to dress the green up with blush pink or nude accessories...

I think you could accessorise the navy with pink / nude for wedding reception which would help it being less dark? Both are lovely

Go for the navy. It's lovely. As above, blush pink accessories would go with both & lighten the look of the navy.
Both versatile & very wearable.

Really like the navy and if it's more flattering would definitely choose that. Why navy accessories though? Pink maybe?

Oh gosh! This is so hard...50/50 vote so far..
Thanks all for suggestions...the navy has an exposed gold zip at the back so maybe gold accessories?
I am really torn now as green is quite fresh and cheerful....but I love lace and navy...!

Yes, I know what you mean.....
If I don't wear the navy, I might have to return it 😥as I have no other events in the diary and it was £189 so not sure I can bear it just sitting in my wardrobe!

Oh I think the green is much nicer! The navy is a bit old-fashioned imo, that heavy lace is very mother-of-the-bride. Whereas the green is fresh and gorgeous.

The green one gives me more wedding vibes. Navy one is lovely though so neither would be a bad choice as such.

Both nice, navy giving vague The Apprentice vibes though. Much prefer the green for a spring wedding.

ohhh thanks all!!. Just asked my mum and shes torn but leaning towards green...!

My head says green....heart says navy lol!

Perhaps if it was an autumn/winter wedding the navy would suit better....but despite it being May...it could easily be cloudy and rainy!!!

For a May wedding, I'd say the green.

The navy is a lovely dress but a bit 'heavy' for a Summer wedding?
If you do choose it, I would definitely wear contrasting / brighter shoes and accessories. Navy would be too much.
