Are chunky sandals still in?

I like both of the attached, but can anyone recommend any in case I prefer them, please?

I bought a cheapy pair from Tesco last summer (wasn't sure how much I'd wear them) Nearly wore them out!

i have a couple of pairs of Russell and Bromley Portland fisherman. I’m over 60 though. Dr Martens are popular. My daughter has the vegan Blaire but I don’t think she’s managed to wear them in.

I really like all the sandals you mentioned and also the one you linked to. I shall come to you for all my footwear needs in future MsD!

They aren't my taste, I am over 60, the age discrimination on this thread is unspeakable. I've seen MN take threads down for much milder posts that are not spiteful in relation to race.

The increasing ageism on this board is a concern.

Tbf the comments were in response to a fairly snippy comment. 'Wouldn't be seen dead in....' is always said by someone who is disparaging something someone else likes.

Re: the ''I wouldn't be seen dead in them'' comment; it was hardly a nice thing to say. The comment was linked directly to the posters age and did invite a bit of a bite back - linked to age.
