Has anyone tried this yet? Thoughts?
I usually stay away from new beauty hypes but this one's got me interested.
Seems to be a lot of 'scientific research' blah blah but is it all just marketing?
As I'm basically looking for a face lift in a bottle I kinda already know I'm going to be disappointed. So tempted to try it but it's not cheap so would like anyone's opinion.
Any visible results yet? 🤞

I've got some but I am only on day 2.

I tried retinol about 5 years ago and it just made my skin sore. Since then I have used various SPF moisturisers in the day and nothing at night so it will be interesting to see how my skin reacts so the serum, day cream and night cream.

OddBoots · 21/04/2023 19:28

Oh, I guess my only comment is that the serum pills on my skin so I am only going to use it under the night cream, not in the day.

sarahh96 · 21/04/2023 19:32

@OddBoots oh does it? That's good to know. That's a mark against it for me then. I've got too many serums in drawers like that already.
Shame really as the very first serum they bought out, years ago, was fab until they discontinued it 😡

It might just be my skin, it will be interesting to get other people's experiences too.

JenniferBooth · 21/04/2023 19:47

I got given a £10 voucher towards this but it says on the shelf in Boots it helps with UV damage Ive never sunbathed , dont go on the beach at all. Not since i was a child. I dont drink (have never been drunk) dont smoke and have never touched illegal drugs. So what damage would it be reversing.

worriedmum2012 · 21/04/2023 19:53

The serum doesn’t pull on my skin at all, I love it. I am on day 4, so no visible changes as yet but it feels lovely on my skin and skin looks brighter and smoother with it on. I have the serum, eye serum and face cream. I am usually very hit and miss with skincare, a lot breaks me out or clogs my pores - this does neither so I’m really happy so far. I got £10 off and it was 3 for 2 at the time (maybe still is).

worriedmum2012 · 21/04/2023 19:53
  • doesn’t pill, not doesn’t pull
Alfiemoon1 · 21/04/2023 19:57

Day 2 here the serum doesn’t pill on my skin either no visible results yet but my skin feels lovely. I got it on 3 for 2 a £10 voucher off and they had £10 of extra points if you spent over £60

worktired · 21/04/2023 22:16

I'm on day 2. My skin feels good, but not sure it's made any other differences.

HappiDaze · 21/04/2023 23:48

I haven't tried it yet as I'm waiting to finish my EL ANR and just coming to the end of my Vit C.

Then I'll be using it on alternate nights to my No7 1.5 % retinol complex which I also bought when they first brought it out as a 3 for 2 offer with additional discounts. They don't even even sell it anymore as it's now called 0.3 % and they have a newer stronger one at 1%.

I'm sure it'll have some kind of decent effect on my skin.

I'll be buying the newer stronger 1% No7 retinol once my current one runs out.

These tubes seem to last me forever so at least I get my moneys worth and hopefully my skin will carry on looking as good as it does without resorting to tretinoin and having my face peel right off as it did when I tried it. I don't want to revisit that painful skincare episode again

BeverlyBrook · 22/04/2023 04:01

Unless you live inside a house all the time your skin will have sun damage! The hole in the ozone layer is still there.

sparklyruby · 22/04/2023 06:16

I've just bought the serum and night and day cream. Lovely going on and the serum doesn't pill for me. Very happy so far especially at this price point.

OddBoots · 22/04/2023 07:13

I am glad it is just me with the pilling, I have had that before with my skin (I have tried more exfoliation) - I'm happy just to use the serum at night.

sashagabadon · 22/04/2023 08:11

I bought the eye cream as it was the cheapest option with my ten pound off voucher. Been using every night since last Sunday and Not noticed anything yet!

sparklyruby · 22/04/2023 08:18

How much of the serum is everyone using? I'm using 3 full pumps which is too much but 2 isn't quite enough (I spread it down my neck too). Will do 2.5 in future but just curious what's enough for others...

DustyLee123 · 22/04/2023 08:20

What is the ‘pill’ on the skin ? I thought it was a typo for pull.

OddBoots · 22/04/2023 08:42

It's when some of it becomes rubbery bobbly bits sat on the skin as you rub it in - someone else might have a better definition though.

DustyLee123 · 22/04/2023 08:44

Ah, ok. Ive never had that with my Liz Earle one, sinks straight in.

Stillwearingskinnys · 22/04/2023 08:46

Just ordered mine, can’t wait to give it a go!

Interested in pp question about how much serum to use

JenniferBooth · 23/04/2023 00:02

How much is the eye cream?

sashagabadon · 23/04/2023 08:42

Eye cream was £15 with my ten pound voucher. So normally £25. I would never spend £25 on it

LadyEloise1 · 23/04/2023 08:58

Does anyone remember the hype after the Horizon programme on BBC that gave great kudos to Boots Protect and Perfect Beauty serum.
Did any Mumsnetter use it for the past 15+ years (approximately) and if so what is your skin like ?

Ilikewinter · 23/04/2023 09:56

Ive been using the serums for years, started on P&P and now using lift and lunimate. I have 0 wrinkles or fine lines on my forehead but who knows if thats down to the serum 😂😂, in the last 12 months Ive started using retinol at night, serum in the morning. I have lines around my eyes and have moved upto restore and renew inbetween retinoyl eye cream...which I find makes my skin really sore. Ive just purchased the new future renew for my eyes to see if I can tolerate that better than retinol. But honestly, ive no idea if any of it works!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/04/2023 09:59

I bought the eye cream. It’s a bit stingy but otherwise I like it so far. Definitely like it much more than the Origins one I was using before.

sarahh96 · 23/04/2023 10:10

@LadyEloise1 yes I did. Used it religiously for about 6 years or so. Then they decided to change it and discontinued the original one.
I did notice a difference, not massively, but it was definitely there. Skin was smoother, lines more plumped etc. it was also brilliant under makeup as it seemed to leave a silicone type feel so makeup glided on.
I continued to get it on eBay but the price went up prohibitively so had to stop.
Really wish they'd bring it back, non of the replacements seem to do the same thing and I need it!
