Petite range that is actual petite

Can I please have recommendations for petite ranges that aren't for giants!! Absolutely sick of buying petite stuff that I can't even pass on to my 5'5 sister as its too long.

I'm looking for wide leg trousers - up to a max of £50.

I'm 5'0 but always wear at least a small heel so to fit 5'2 / 5'3. A small size 10. Inside leg 29'

Am I the only one who has resorted to kids clothes…..

They do extra extra short now and they are perfect for me. ( just over 5ft)

I wish M&S would actually stock their ‘extra short’ jeans / trousers now their shorts are too long for me, there is far less availability than there used to be. I went to their massive Bluewater store and couldn’t find a single pair of XS jeans.
White stuff and Seasalt are worth checking.
I noticed Whistles have started a petite range, haven’t tried yet.
Boden is no good for me as they don’t cater for large and short.
Fenn Wright Manson petite needs 10cm chopping off! Their tops are nicely proportioned for me though.

My 16 year old dd is a size 2 and short we’ve found that asos petite is quite good.

I'm 5ft2 but long bodied ,short legs 27 inside leg, used to buy m&s short, but they have changed the leg length, now I have to buy extra short but they are always sold out.

I'm 5'4" with a 30" inside leg.

Tu (Sainsbury's) have some petite items, especially trousers. I have bought quite a few online.

The quality is really good, like M and S years ago and they are very reasonable. Then they have sales and the prices are crazy cheap.

An ad for Lacuna petite clothes came up on my fb feed. (I'm less than 5ft) They do more than one petite length. I've not tried it though

No idea as I'm 5'4 and every trouser I try on flaps on the ground. I don't wear heels either but it's like everything's made for people who are 5'8.

Dresses too! MIDI dresses suddenly become maxi on me.

I forgot I was on this thread and was going to start one about bloody leg lengths on trousers!!!

So I wandered into the H+M website and what do I find - 'ankle length' as the description for leg length.

I’m 5 ft 4 and a shortarse.
As someone said Levi do some jeans in a 28 inch inside leg.
Mint velvet online also do some of their jeans and trousers in a short length. Iv3 bought them and they are definitely short - too short even for me .

@bellac11 H&M did do a petite range where I bought three pairs of black cigarette trousers which are good quality considering the price and I am holding on to given that they don’t appear to do a petite length any longer.

I'm pissed off by M&S making their short length too long - though I did get some trousers which maybe were meant to be slightly cropped which are just right.

Next sometimes has jeans and trousers that fit too.

My other go-to is Lands End.

Whatever you do, do not go near Boden! Their standard range is like standing in a pair of floor length curtains and the petite rage is like wearing 'long length' M&S trousers, you can just about manage them in very high heels, I'm 5ft 1.5.

@Askil I have found Boden jeans to be particularly good and I am much short than you.

I'm 5'3 and always wear flats, I find Boden petite range is exactly the right length for me. I have a couple pairs of jeans from them.

@Niftythrifter I haven't tried their jeans before, I usually buy their formal trousers. I just about manage with their petite range but have to wear wedges or chunky trainers with them whereas in normal shops petite sort f just skims the ankle so I avoid it and stick with 'standard'. The denim material might make a big difference to how they hang and might mask some of the length in a way cotton/viscose fabric doesn't.

@ladygindiva , at 5'3 you are at the maximum height of the petite range, so presumably Boden's petite range won't be sized to fit people who are something like 5'.

Following this thread too! M&S short used to be a 28” inch leg. Now it’s for giants. Even their standard length is too long for the average woman. Im going to write to them directly about this. I’m a curvy size 12 too, so lots of brands just don’t fit round the hips and waist. Second hand shops sometimes have good stuff. So hard to find good work trousers though. What a shame Précis has gone plus my favourite, Minuet.

28" inside leg isn't particularly short. I'm not much over 5'3"and was a regular in M&S until recently. I'm average height (162.4 centimeters)

I can just about cope with m&s changing their lengths but what makes me mad is that Short was (and the new Short still is) available in stores quite regularly but the Extra Short is not. Bloody annoying.

Following with interest as its very hard to get a true short fitting/ petite range. Im 5ft1 and find next way too long.
I have some boden petite dresses that fit well.
Also struggle with tops and t shirts as these are often cover my bum/ mid thigh and now ive got a bit of a tummy i dont like tucking things in, almost impossble to get petite fitting t shirts and tops.

Totally struggling with this too. I'm 5' and I still have to shorten all trousers and jeans regardless of where they're from. I can do straight legs myself but not flared or bootcut. M&S, Boden, Levi, Uniqlo, Fatface petite ranges are all too long. It's a pain and expensive

@MedievalMadness try Levi cropped. I am shorter than you and they work for me
