EBG has been in Milan. I quite like the skirt but I couldn't detest those powder blue (or lilac?) shoes more. Awful. I'm not sure if it's just camera lights, but her blouse seems quite sheer and rather risqué.

I am not a fan of those sunray pleated skirts on anyone, sorry EBG.

In other happy news today, Prince Gustav and Princess Carina of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg have announced that they are expecting a baby son via a surrogate. Given they had to wait nearly 20 years to get married while they undertook a legal battle to overturn the will of his grandfather - a literal nazi - which meant that Gustav would have lost his titles and family estates if he married a non-Aryan, I am really pleased for them that they have eventually reached a position where they’ve been able to get married and now have a baby.

(I’m not up on German inheritance law, but I am assuming that the baby being born by a surrogate isn’t a bar to it being Gustav’s legal heir. And without wishing to speculate too much on the matter as embryos can be successfully frozen, there’s every chance the baby is their own genetic offspring too).

That is good news, @Serenster . The grandfather sounds like a charmer 🙄

@MotherofPearl - does Meghan have a skirt like that? I seem to remember her wearing something similar with a white shirt to Wimbledon, she looked good, natch.

It was Daisy's birthday, and here is a tiara from the Danish collection, the pearl poire. Very pretty, and reminds me of the Cambridge one with the hanging pearls.
