Everyone welcome ..

Wearing the leaf print viscose dress and heeled boots it's quite warm here so comfortable

@ilovecherries oh I'm envious, I missed out on that dress! Enjoy - it's gorgeous.

I am SO pleased with it. I nearly didn’t buy it too. Also replaced my curry splattered twill shacket thingy which was equally lovely, but not a surprise as I knew what it would be like.

mizu · 17/05/2023 15:00

Of course I'm in TOAST. An old denim dress with yellow new balance trainers. Grin

OftenOrange · 17/05/2023 15:02

Love hearing today’s outfits , I’m trying to remember the navy jumper mentioned by @Gonegrey31 it sounds just perfect .
I’m in a Toast dark denim pinafore with a Petit Bateaux t shirt, Toast green neat cardi, Lina sandals and am throwing on the Patchwork blue jacket to go out now.
Both the neat cardi and patchwork jacket were on a whim purchases in the last sale ,which I took a chance on after endorsements on this thread , and both are favourite pieces.

Ive had the pinafore for 3 yrs and worn it twice simply because I find it seasonally tricky.
I hate wearing it with tights as with or without an underskirt it clings to the legs hen walking , and I’m not up for wearing it with socks and boots ( too fitted and a funny length)
When the weather’s warm I’ve lots of nicer things to enjoy .
So today being neither warm nor cold it came out of the doldrums!

OftenOrange · 17/05/2023 15:15

Black clouds and I’m not taking a chance with the Lina sandals, so it’s socks and boots with lots of bare leg on display , and the style police are having a day off !

Countmeout · 17/05/2023 15:17

Funny weather. Cold before lunch but warm now. Wearing Toast striped shirt no idea what it’s called , Next wide leg cut off jeans (these are really soft) , was wearing Toast navy workwear jacket but too warm now. Labelless white trainers.

I wish the weather could make its mind up.

faustina · 17/05/2023 16:15

Wearing my desert cactus (? ) Alixes with my lovely new blue cotton/linen shirt via the FB page - it's slightly more structured (in a good way!) than the slate one I already have, and nubuck clogs.

I had a really nice tshirt delivered today from Cos - it's linen, but NOT SEE-THRU! A miracle! Great shape - slightly oversized - and a very reasonable price. If it shrinks I will go and put a brick through their window 😀

Noeggsontoast · 17/05/2023 16:29

@Gonegrey31 I have that jumper too and it's a real winner. I bought it after having had a green skinny linen one last summer. So easy to wear.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 17/05/2023 16:43

I’ve been to the hairdressers today, wearing my slate Alix and olive Workwear shirt (from the January sale).
I got sidetracked in town, I went in to Seasalt to get an apron and managed to buy This Dress in the green (Copse) instead. Although I’m not a great fan of sleeveless it looked really nice on, did completely forget the apron though.

I’m a high street 12, I tried the 10 and the 12, both fitted but the 10 was a little tight across my bust, so I bought the 12.
I did dither, I think either size would have worked for me but I decided to go with the extra comfort.

Ive also just recieved the seasalt jumpsuit. Its lovely!

Stoic123 · 17/05/2023 17:18

Seasalt are doing some good stuff.

I have bern wearing the cord trousers (2 pairs) I bought from them this winter much more frequently than my Toast ones. The Toast material is better quality but the cut of the Seasalt ones is great and they were about 1/3 of the price (both in sales).

Ooo I didn’t look at that, I have got a jumpsuit from a previous season but it’s not linen.

@Stoic123 I saw quite a few nice linen pieces today in store, well worth a look.

Stravaig · 17/05/2023 17:41

@Theteapotsbrokenspout Ooh I spotted that, the swing is lovely! What's the green like in life? Some of the photos look paler, some darker.

dudsville · 17/05/2023 18:11

Loving the toast chat. I went out to dinner last week and saw someone wearing the orange dogtooth coat of a few years ago. I love seeing/hearing how others wear their stuff.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 17/05/2023 18:13

@Stravaig it is a true green, for me most similar to the website picture of the dress on its own. But of course colour differs on various computers and is also a bit subjective - so I’m not sure that’s very helpful.

AFingerofFudge · 17/05/2023 19:28

I am in the very fortunate position of being on a mini break to Cornwall. The weather is absolutely glorious so I'm feeling extra lucky. I wore my crinkle check dress I bought in the most recent sale yesterday. Today I am in a pair of Sweaty Betty joggers and Kemi Telford tshirt as we did quite a hike from Looe to Polperro.
I plan to wear my new denim panel trousers tomorrow (going home day).

MaroonedOnADesertIsland · 17/05/2023 20:44

Sounds lovely @AFingerofFudge enjoy!

Lovely to hear all the toast being worn, @dudsville thanks for resurrecting the thread from the doldrums!
I wasnt wearing toast today but will plan on wearing my blue blazer from a few years back tomorrow. Like a pp I never find the right time to wear it due to temperature but I enjoy it when I do.
@ilovecherries which palm dress is it you have? The one with blue leaves or the one (same shape I think) with browns and burgundy with leopards in the background. I have the latter as an Ebay purchase but haven't worn it yet.
As usual I am yearning for a toast sale. When do we think the next one will be?

dudsville · 17/05/2023 20:44

What an ideal scenario for that dress@AFingerofFudge, and lovely sounding holiday!

I'm heading to bed in what i think were called the checkerboard pyjamas, blue and white. So thin and comfy.

Firesideknitting · 17/05/2023 21:19

Ahh reading what everyone is wearing is wonderful, I’m sadly in a pair of Seasalt chinos from the sale for the summerhouse painting and gardening last few days, did slip into a super comfy toast dress I got from vented a while ago, was perfect for nipping to the shops with daughter..

Ghosteen · 17/05/2023 21:29

'Tis me, No Cure, with a new name due to tech nonsense.

Alpacasoft · 17/05/2023 21:36

Alpacasoft · 13/05/2023 14:18

I was on the verge of ordering the check jumpsuit until I read the reviews that it's really short in the body and impossible toget out of.
I ordered the garment dyed linen dress in sapphire , gambled on a small even though toast recommended a medium.
It just says summer hols to me !
Off for a mooch in my local shop
Will report back

It's absolutely gorgeous!
So glad I stuck with the small.

Just a perfect throw on summer dress and lovely if like me you don't want your legs on show.
It's a nice heavy linen.

I was looking at the summer jackets and toast had a lovely lightweight one -the linen cotton neat jacket -£255 .
Just too much for me.
I found a lovely boxy cream denim Whistles one for £99 instead.

Alpacasoft · 17/05/2023 21:40

Stoic123 · 13/05/2023 21:21

@Alpacasoft - I have the liquorice version of that dress and like it very much. Really like the blue version but have learnt not to buy two of the same item (unless a real staple) as my second favourite will just get relegated to the back of the cupboard.

Buy the blue!😂
