@Theteapotsbrokenspout - are they the bright blue socks? I put mine on, realised they were way too big and took them off again - that is the sum total of my usage. I would def send yours back though - the whole point of toast socks is that they're very bombproof and you clearly aren't!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 10/05/2023 20:21

Yes, the bright blue ones @faustina . The more I think about it the more I think you’re right. I shall be in London in a couple of weeks, I think I’ll take them back to a shop then.

My kindred mug is chipped! First time using and in the dishwasher. I’m not having much luck with things breaking at the moment, what with the oil burner second edition cracking. The good news is the description of the mug says if it does chip it’ll oxidise and be fine. Bit sad though.

I actually think those enamel mugs are not fish washer proof. I've had others (not toast) and the advice was to not put them in the dish washer.

MaroonedOnADesertIsland · 10/05/2023 20:47

Whoops dish not fish 🙄

MaroonedOnADesertIsland · 10/05/2023 20:48

Though I like the idea of getting a fish to do the dishes 😅

MiracleToast · 10/05/2023 20:56

Ah, I read on the description they could be. Oh well

Firesideknitting · 10/05/2023 22:00

i took delivery of the beautiful cookbook today, taken myself off to have a good read in bed with my Ada pyjamas on, have to say these are an absolute favourite in the way of comfort… after a long day gardening, an early rest up is well needed

I’m currently incensed by bloody dhl. I paid for pre 1pm delivery for my wrap jumpsuit. At 30 seconds before 1 I get a photo of an unrecognisable door with my precious parcel sitting outside.

Did you get your order?

its in bloody Kirkcaldy! Probably gone for good. Toast have said they’ll deal with it and are dispatching another two (I ordered small and medium).

Oh dear! Well at least they are sorting it for you !

Stravaig · 11/05/2023 13:07

I thought the Fracap Lina brown leather lace sandals looked lovely in the new Live - is anyone trying those? Tempted by the bottle green jumpsuit too, except it wouldn't flow like that on me (breasts).

Nothing else though. English summer pastels are the Deil's work a challenge for my colouring. Whites and creams make peely wally skin look even more sickly; pale to mid greens or blues perfectly highlight greeny blue veins; and pale peach, orange, yellow accentuate freckles and ginger tones generally. 🤣

neveradullmoment99 · 11/05/2023 13:17

Ive ordered the bottle green jumpsuit to try. It should come tomorrow but I was thinking, how do you get it on? Step into it?
I am a 14 and I have the dress from last years collection so have ordered the large as reviews on the dress said that it was tight across the bust.
Ive also ordered the seasalt one to compare. Its in a beautiful colour and very similar and about half the price and still 100% linen. I will report back!

OftenOrange · 11/05/2023 13:18

@Stravaig Yes I’m wearing those Lina sandals , and adore is an understatement for how I feel about them.
First thing is 100% comfort straight away.
Then the style, it’s the sort of non girly , quirky style I love and I find they look great with my Toast trousers and dresses,( Annie denim, dungaresss, linen balloon and the tie waist jumpsuit ) plus I’ll wear with shorts too.
Of mention is the fact that the style seems accommodating for all foot widths, I find many sandals too wide but the clever design of the Lina deals with that .

OftenOrange · 11/05/2023 13:25

Just bought the Reeds cotton linen shirt , and couldn’t be happier.
My local store also had the lovely white cotton shirt that’s sold out everywhere, and which was a real regret.
However once I tried the Reeds shirt it was a complete coup de foudre; it’s got the waft factor and lightness I love , and looks perfect over the Fenugreek linen balloon trousers.
Love the styling which has the sleeves attached low down,,that the curved seams , the very pretty fabric elevate it into a special piece worth the £135
Kudos to the. helpful SA in Islington. who pointed me in the right direction !

OftenOrange · 11/05/2023 13:28

Adding a note about sizing : Fracap Lina true to my usual 39
Reeds shirt , don’t size down …the sizes go XXS/ XS. then up to S/M
As à Toast 8 the XXS/XS fits perfectly but with no leeway.
It isn’t cut oversized at all.

Stravaig · 11/05/2023 13:46

Oh wonderful @OftenOrange ! I often slide around in sandals, so the combination of quirkiness and practicality is very appealing.

@neveradullmoment99 I spotted the Seasalt one too, I look forward to your thoughts! The elasticated back on the Toast one means you can probably step into it like a skirt?

ToastCosILoveIt · 11/05/2023 18:37

@Stravaig , I have the Lina sandals too and concur that they are super, super comfy from the off and look very good on. I’ve only worn them once in April when I first got them as I wanted to break them in but they won’t need it as they are so soft but comfy.

Stravaig · 12/05/2023 09:31

@ToastCosILoveIt Now they're at the very top of the covet list! Thank you.

faustina · 12/05/2023 17:06

if anyone is thinking of ordering that Seasalt jumpsuit, I was sent a discount code today which I won't be using - SEASCAPES10 - you get a tenner off any order from the summer collection over £50

Not sure if this is any comfort @ilovecherries but I finally (various Brexit related postal reversions) got my wrap jumpsuit and it meets all expectations! My first ever jumpsuit. It’s worth the wait!

So excited to get it. I’m not particularly tall - 5’7 - but my height is in my torso and I really struggle to get into jumpsuits, but I’m hoping as this one buttons way past the waist it will work.

Firesideknitting · 13/05/2023 00:24

Fenugreek balloon trousers are back in stock… if anyone missed out

dudsville · 13/05/2023 11:57

I'm sitting here in a sheet face mask, a toast gown, after a lazy morning with breakfast and proper tea in bed, about to do my at-home hair trim, catching up on the clothes chat. We have a beautiful day here today, hope you're all getting a nice weekend too.
