Here we are again, and this time looking forward to the warmer weather , putting away our comfy woolies ( and new season's dresses).

Everyone welcome ..

My saved items were missing , they are now back.

Ooooh hope there is a sale!

Stravaig · 28/04/2023 15:52

Oh, mine too! Thank you x
I could not remember the things I had forgotten 🤣

ilovecherries · 28/04/2023 16:13

Hello Toasties, I still read you every day but don’t post so much now. My no-spend year has had only one small hiccup so far via a CoS dress which I’m still decided about but HMRC has sent me £253 today (to celebrate Charlie, perhaps 🤔). Anyway, the wrap denim jumpsuit has been calling me for weeks and I’m sorely tempted. If Toast were to throw in a bank holiday discount, I’d def be straight on it. Those who have already succumbed to its beauty - is it easy to get off and on? Does it undo below the waistline at all? I nearly always have to size up in a jumpsuit to have enough spare fabric to hoist it up to get off my shoulders, so they always end up disappointing. Any advice?

dudsville · 28/04/2023 16:37

I didn't have anything in my wish list. I go back and forth with this as I only shop the sales it's a little redundant for me, although it does somewhat scratch the itch to shop by looking at and saving things so occasionallyi do this but then go back and empty it! If there's a sale I'll be conflicted, I had hoped to have a good run through to the next big sale in June!

Today I've enjoyed the stack check trousers with a tee again. Such a comfy easy outfit!

Hi @ilovecherries , what a great excuse to buy a wanted thing!

Laska2Meryls · 28/04/2023 16:53

I am very impressed with these M&S sandals ! ( I love the Fracap ones but not the price )

Oh I do hope there's a sale!

@Laska2Meryls they look great. I saw them this morning as I wandered through the store.

I have ordered the wrap twill jumpsuit after being tardy in purchasing it earlier in the year and it going out of stock. I hope it's as lovely as the dress I have in that style. I've gone with my usual Toast size even though it's new sizing so I hope it fits!

Wearing my oh so comfy denim shirt dress (current season) and a cute silk toast bandana I picked up on vinted today. It's freezing here still. I think this dress is one of my best ever buys.

MiracleToast · 28/04/2023 21:41

Good news for me—I sold something on Etsy which means if Toast has a sale I can put the surprise proceeds towards a little something.

In other news, my laces on my fracap biker boots broke—I’ve been wearing them solidly for over two years so I reckon that’s not bad. I managed to tie it up with one to make it through the day.

Would love a sale, but need to focus on summer wear—not more jumpers!

dudsville · 29/04/2023 07:47

I found a Harley of Scotland all over fair isle jumper last night. Does anyone think this is the Toast one? I was also taken by another jumper of Harley's and realised it had the same cut as last yrs fair isle yoke that came in chocolate and that lovely bright blue. Harley had one with the same arm cuff and hem style of those but different colours and yolk. It made me wonder which company made the toast ones. Anyone know?

Here's the other one...

Noeggsontoast · 29/04/2023 07:53

Harley are the fair isle makers for Toast. I saw a glorious green one over the new year but out of stock. Toast did a piece on them in 2018.

dudsville · 29/04/2023 08:17

Oh, i never knew that!

faustina · 29/04/2023 17:06

@Countmeout - it was two pairs of (different) cotton and linen trousers in black from Zara (haven't bought from them before), and both were unfortunately a really odd fit so they went back again today. I think I've come to the conclusion that it's slate or nothing that I'm looking for. To cheer myself up, and because the sun actually came out here today, I put on my cactus alixes which I love so much, then discovered I must have sat on a piece of chocolate last summer before putting them away, so then I tried on the Sideline Billy trousers and I think they might be too big for me! It's been a very frustrating day!

neveradullmoment99 · 29/04/2023 17:13

Talking about the sideline billy trousers, what size do you recommend? What are you @faustina and what size did you purchase? I love the pale blue ones. Have them on my wish list.
Sounds an incredibly frustrating day!

neveradullmoment99 · 29/04/2023 17:14

I have purchased the hush red print wide legs and the spotty ones that are crop. I also have got a pair of lovely cargos from asda of all places and fit like a glove. They look great. Only £18

faustina · 29/04/2023 17:18

@neveradullmoment99 I think they're an extra small- I'll check later. Can also measure if you like?

faustina · 29/04/2023 17:20

@neveradullmoment99 - forgot to mention- I'm a 6/8 in toast

OftenOrange · 29/04/2023 19:02

@ilovecherries The tie waist indigo twill jumpsuit is really easy to get in and out of. It buttons very low, I’m sure your usual Toast size will be fine.
I haven’t worn it yet , gave it another try on this morning and still love it .

Countmeout · 29/04/2023 19:54

I think the Alix are hard to beat @faustina . I’ve been wearing my slate and brass ones a lot this week. I wish they’d make them in Calico colour.

I’ve bought a pair of linen mix trousers from Marks, they look nothing like the photo on their website on me and are probably the green I wanted the balloon ones to be. I’ll post a photo tomorrow. I’ve also a pair of winter white mom jeans in a bag but undecided about them yet. I do this every year , keep buying trousers then the weather turns warm and I wear nothing but dresses.

The pale blue Billy trousers look lovely @neveradullmoment99 .

faustina · 29/04/2023 20:04

I was just thinking the exact same thing @Countmeout ! It's about time they did some in that colour

Looking forward to the pic of your linen mix trousers, I searched high and low for something the other day (was looking for a different colour though).

I have some unworn Levi's Made and Crafted balloon jeans in bright white which I want to start wearing, and I also bought a Levis long ecru denim skirt the other day, but am undecided about whether or not to keep. It's quite straight which suits me better than full or A lone, and a nice midi length but I can only do it up if I stop breathing

Sideline have wonderful colours don't they?

mizu · 29/04/2023 20:48

Anyone doing the TOAST swap tomorrow? I have a couple of things I'm going to take in.

OftenOrange · 29/04/2023 21:37

@mizu I may wander down there, I’ve a truly ancient pair of whitish linen low rise trousers I was going to send to charity , but I doubt that they will even take them.

I’ve a dress I got off eBay I keep meaning to take into the swap, it’s just not me and it’s a shame it sits not worn, however I did get a couple of pairs of lovely linen trousers from poetry this week, really well made and fit lovely ..

dudsville · 30/04/2023 07:02

I'd forgotten about the swap. I have a too large jumper that I've been feeling v guilty about. It's too warm and too big. I'll have a look at upcoming dates.

AFingerofFudge · 30/04/2023 10:10

I am going to the swap at my "local" store today.
It's annoying that I used to go to the Mayfair branch every couple of months as I would be in London, and they had the permanent Toast Circle, and then they withdrew it unannounced, so I ended up with a number of vouchers (which I often held on to as although I picked up some brilliant things there, occasionally there wouldn't be anything that took my fancy and so I would save them for the next time.
So the last circle event I went to my local one and there were hardly any items, definitely nothing of interest, so I'm really hoping there's something today. Those vouchers did "cost" me, as I traded in some really nice things.

Countmeout · 30/04/2023 10:51

@faustina . Here’s the linen mix trousers from Marks Sorry so creased but I tipped them in a bag in case they gave a 20% this week but haven’t and anyhow my local branch only had 3 pairs still on the rail. Lots of complaints online about how they’re too long . I think they give a look I’m comfortable with. For me a crop should just be above ankle.Colour fairly much as seen I think. Also had black blue and navy. Anyhow they’ll do for holiday.

Hope everyone gets something they want in Circle. Does Derham Street not have a permanent rail? They had one when I was over at Christmas.
