My order arrived today and keeping everything.
I have to say the size recommendations were spot on.
I'm a RL 12.
Earrings -lovely, will buy more if she makes more studs in the future ( can't wear drop earrings or hoops)
Gingham dress size,12 neat fitting at the bust and neckline with a full skirt.
Almost thought about sizing down but the neckline is ruched and not really adjustable even though they say it is, it isn't at the front neck .
I'm slim around my neck and shoulders and it's a snug fit, ok but snug.It might bother some if they have a bit more weight in that area mine is lower down
A really lovely dress.
As is the panelled linen dress.Gorgeous heavy linen and a perfect fit.
It's very long which I like but it's lower calf on me and I'm tall.
The seamless wool/ cashmere jumper is lovely but it's more a browny grey -keeping as I like the colour.
Would love this in a true pale grey or blue.

The mug 😝
Have given it to DH for camping.
It's also got a horrible open lip.
I don't know how anyone can even contemplate drinking out of it!
All in all very pleased with my order though.

Sounds like some lovely buys. I love the panelled linen dress. Hoping its in the sale! You may not🤣🤣🤣
I'm the same with the mug. I hate the lip on it!
I use it for a quick drink. It's not great. Nice to look at.

@JustforToast @OftenOrange looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the jumpsuit! I think it’s my favourite toast thing. It’s really comfy and easy to get on and off compared to other, and I really like the fact that it’s flexible in terms of how much you want to cinch it in or wear the tie on the front or the back.

@TempleofZoom i also love the panel linen dress! I bought the dhal one as well but it seemed smaller for some reason, I sent that one back as I decided I’d wear the slate more, and I’m going to hang out for the dhal in the sale.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2023 10:01

@Snowyowl78 What is the colour Dhal like? Is it really bright? I am considering the Dhal paper bag trousers. Just trying to work out if the colour is just a bit too much or its more muted than the website on the actual model [ not the photos]

Snowyowl78 · 27/04/2023 10:36

@neveradullmoment99 its not very bright, if you look at the linen panel dress I think those pictures are pretty representative. It’s definitely not ‘loud’. I liked the colour, it’s orange but not a bright orange.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/04/2023 11:10

Thank you :)

dudsville · 27/04/2023 12:15

@temple, enjoy your lovely things! Re sizing changes, would you say they're now more like high street sizing?

faustina · 27/04/2023 12:43

@TempleofZoom - what a successful order! Slate is a brilliant colour isn't it? Very subtle but looks amazing

I didn't spend my money so won't mind if it's in the sale, I might be tempted to get another though.
It's so simple but perfect.

I would go for the,Ikat dress in the sale, so lovely but the price!

Just watched the lunchtime styling video on lounge wear with Emma. Highlighted the Navy drawstring waist jumpsuit, check jumpsuit, a couple of dresses and the shorts. Liked the way Emma put things together she looked cute with her highwaisted shorts and tucked in t-shirt. She wore a couple of the Fracas sandals. Definitely emphasized comfort with breezy looses dresses really for high summer not now ..

OftenOrange · 27/04/2023 15:08

@Snowyowl78 Everything I heard about the tie waist jumpsuit is so right; I’m in love !
Utilitarian cool with a feminine twist.
I hope Toast take note and. design more clothing that offers styling to emphasise and , in my case, give a more feminine silhouette.

faustina · 27/04/2023 16:26

This is a bit niche possibly, but if anyone else has been hunting for a nice Bleu de Chauffe bag and was stalking the grey one which has now sold out on Toast, there's a solution which doesn't involve paying all the mad extra EU charges from France. Mr Porter has a nice selection and they're mostly 20% off at the moment. I bought the tobacco colour musette for a very reasonable price. Also if you go through Quidco there's another 8% cash back. They also have a bigger canvas one, but I think it's a bit too big:

dudsville · 27/04/2023 17:40

You always find neat things @faustina !

faustina · 27/04/2023 19:50

I deliberated too long and Toast sold out and aren't going to re-stock, I never thought of Mr Porter, but they are unisex so I guess it makes sense. Bleu de Chauffe are really hard to find in the UK!

Brackenfield · 28/04/2023 08:59

I bought the black coffee balloon linen trousers last year size XS and the blue this year in small and I'd say they are comparable fit. I've 29inch waist and a bigger bum but scrawny legs so I usually struggle with trousers and like how they fit. I've short (5ft 2) and I wear them high on the waist and they're a good length.

They're quite thin/soft, I wear them year round, on their own in summer and with uniqlo thermal leggings underneath in winter.

One of my favourite toast pieces

Brackenfield · 28/04/2023 09:00

Quote/reply fáil, the above Was for @faustina i think

Stravaig · 28/04/2023 09:10

My Saved section has gone! Even after logging in. And it's no longer an option on item pages. Anyone/everyone else?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 28/04/2023 09:22

@Stravaig Yes, I noticed that yesterday, I thought it was a problem my end, obviously not.

FiddleFigs · 28/04/2023 09:22

@Stravaig Mine's disappeared too! And no option to save anything new either. Hopefully just a glitch (though might be a blessing in disguise - I had a ridiculous number of saved items!).

faustina · 28/04/2023 10:13

@Brackenfield - thank you very much! I hadn't realised they'd done the balloon ones in black coffee. Something non-Toast is arriving today but if that doesn't work out I will see if I can try a pair on

I wonder if the saved items disappearance thing is because of a sale? Everyone else seems to be having one at the moment - some quite huge (40% off all current clothes at the mercantile London )

Countmeout · 28/04/2023 10:29

I was thinking that too re a wee sale before summer launch. The next styling video is 9th (?).
Look forward to seeing what you have bought in trousers @faustina .

Stravaig · 28/04/2023 12:11

Glad it's not just me. I hope it's not permanent. It takes months and sometimes years of careful mulling, comparing, saving for something to make it to the top of my purchase priority list. (By which time it's often out of stock - looking at you, single red stripe bedlinen and dinky mini hoop earrings).

There's no way I'm repeatedly fighting with subpar navigation to relocate items, even if I do remember that they exist. I also shop the sale from my Saved list, not by browsing a vast sale page that always glitches before I reach the bottom.

Getting people to re-browse and re-think a choice already partly made is an interesting sales strategy. It's also an accessibility issue, Toast. That's physical and cognitive capacity I simply don't have to spare. On top of your ever increasing financial inaccessibility. If it's a mistake, please fix it; if a deliberate choice, rethink it.

faustina · 28/04/2023 12:51

@Stravaig - when there's going to be a sale, in the past I've found my saved list suddenly reappears and it includes things which I previously saved and which then disappeared and have now reappeared in the sale. So perhaps it's not as bad as you think. Fingers crossed!

I thought I'd noticed individual items vanishing from the Saved list, then suddenly reappearing again! That didn't used to happen. Never seen the entire Saved list function vanish before though. Fingers duly crossed.

Toast is endless What fresh fuckwittery is this?! these days 🤷‍♀️
