She looks good! I prefer those trousers to the floor-skimming ones she wears, though maybe it's time to try a different shoe style. What would you wear instead? Loafers?

I wonder if she just can't get out of the stiletto habit. She's got to have feet of tungsten.

I think loafers would look good, but if she thinks flats are too casual those block heel shoes she has worn once or twice are much better than the spindly stilettos

Like pp, I think a block heel would make a nice change. Jess Cartner-Morley wrote a piece in the Guardian the other day about the mid-heel having a moment!

Those are gorgeous 🥰 I've just realised I have some shoes at the bottom of a wardrobe somewhere with a chunky heel, must dig them out! I've largely lived in trainers since the first lockdown 😆

They're v retro. They look like something my teacher was wearing c1977
Those, and the big Deirdre Barlow glasses with long lanky hair.
And brown "slacks" with a cream polyester polo necked "jumper".

Kate's already got the cream poloneck jumper @pussycatinfluffyslippers, so all she needs is the slacks and shoes. Slacks is a great work and makes me think of my granny.

@MotherofPearl In my case, it's my Auntie Alice. She was a foot shorter than me (so 4'2") and always wore an A line skirt with v thick tights or slacks. Only ever sensible lace-up shoes...although she wore v high heels to dance in when she was in her 20s.
Reminds me also of the vast quantity of Dubonnet, Cinzano and Martini she could soak up and the amount she'd mix into "shandy" for me (hic)
