Helen Mirren long hair

So, what do we think about Helen's long hair. Personally, I love it but is she too old, and where did that outdated idea come from anyway?

I remember as a teenager working in an office with older women, including quite a domineering woman who had helmet hair and hornrimmed glasses. One of my colleagues had long hair and Hornrimmed kept going on about how she was too old for long hair now. So this woman got it cut short, and it didn’t suit her at all. That’s decades ago and has stuck with me.

I do find long hair, but worn in a perpetual bun, is ageing. I agree with a pp up thread that keeping some hair around the face is more flattering than having it all scraped back. I can’t stand updos for example unless it’s been softened by a few tendrils of hair in front of the ears.
