Bust size is a problem for me, I have a big bust but my shoulders are narrow. If I buy to fit my bust quite often the shoulders look ridiculous.
I can’t imagine I’d ever fit in a toast swimsuit.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/03/2023 11:07

I'm the same. I have narrow shoulders and a bust. Puff sleeves just don't work on me.

agnesmartin · 03/03/2023 12:55

Gah, I've just ordered this and am now noticing the arm holes. I think I probably also need to be tall and skinny without a pot belly to pull this off, but hoping for kindly cut.

Has anyone else seen this on the Toast Instagram stories? Needless to say I had to take screenshots to zoom in and scrutinise!

@agnesmartin is that the jumpsuit? I like the look of that (OOS in quite a few sizes already) would like to hear how you find it in the flesh.

I am still safe with regards to the new drop, nothing really grabbing me yet.

I do want a sleeveless relaxed jumpsuit for summer, so may consider one of those (they seem to have a few).

I like these barrel leg dungarees but really unsure of the colour - I would worry about staining them!

@dudsville your outfit sounds nice. I have the stack trousers but think I will save them til summer. They are a bit thin for me and feeling the cold...I really wish it would start to get warmer!

agnesmartin · 03/03/2023 15:10

@MaroonedOnADesertIsland No, it's this. Hoping it will be a work horse and take me from a Scottish spring to autumn with layers. I never have much luck with jersey though.

I just got this and I am perplexed!

www.toa.st/collections/womens-jumpsuits/products/v-neck-cotton-jersey-jumpsuit-washed-black

you have to undo the buttons to get it on, and then you can’t do them up again from behind. I am not sure if I am particularly stupid as the reviews don’t mention it! If it was so loose that you didn’t have to undo the buttons then it would be too big once on! Very confused and my shoulder is almost dislocated.

it’s nice though!

dudsville · 03/03/2023 15:47

That does look awkward @Snowyowl78 !

The stack check trousers are definitely for warmer weather, but they are sooo cofortable @MaroonedOnADesertIsland .

I'm so envious of all the shopping!

I haven't found any scarves yet @neveradullmoment99 , I have just bought som plain cotton bandana-sized ones dyed in a range of colours that suit my wardobe, and two pick up the colours in the scarf I'd ideally buy upthread, so at least I can cheaply see if I am in fact a scarf wearer.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/03/2023 16:18

Don't you think that the boat neck orange dress is just like the landscape dress? I have the landscape dress on today!
Sadly for me, I am not fussed for orange. Pity it isn't in another colour.

faustina · 03/03/2023 16:22

I like that jumpsuit - there must be a way of doing it up or all those reviews would mention it?

I'm very envious of how you can all envisage (and buy) clothes for spring/summer - I can't seem to be able to at the moment. I have some things - shirts, jackets, trousers which are completely unworn because it's too cold, and I've come to a kind of full stop about getting anything else

About scarves - there are some people on Instagram who've been wearing napkins as scarves. Maybe you could widen your search that way @neveradullmoment99 ?

CureForLove · 03/03/2023 16:40

Thought this might be of interest - some Toast as well as APC, Sideline, YMC... all at good prices if in limited sizes...

Snowyowl78 · 03/03/2023 16:41

Just had another look- one review mentions it:
’The top half is neat on my busty frame so I need to undo the top button to get it on which is then tricky to do up but is manageable.’

I will have another go when I’m not in a rush see if it’s easier. I ordered a L too so will see if that works better.

The Novesta's are a great price! I did order the velvet brown skirt in a 12. Felt sad that I missed out on it during the sale.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/03/2023 17:30

Thanks for the link @CureForLove

The other jumpsuit [ looks like the lydia dress] was a pull on. You didn't need to unfasten the buttons to get it on. I sold it on a year or so ago for three reasons.

  1. It felt short in the body for me. 2. It bagged at the knees after wear. 3. You had to constantly stretch the neck out to get it on as, like you, it was hard to do the buttons.
neveradullmoment99 · 03/03/2023 17:34

I also had the lydia dress [ twice believe it or not!]
First time, it became too small :( When I reordered it, it would annoy me as the back button constantly undone.

Countmeout · 03/03/2023 18:59

I have a White Stuff jumpsuit like that @Snowyowl78 . It doesn’t have buttons and you just wriggle it on.

@dudsville @Noodle421
It’s so true that wearing our nice things every day enhances mood , I’ve a bad habit of keeping anything requiring ironing or hand washing for social occasions .
Today Im wearing Firewood Donegal jumper, an ace sale buy , with ecru Annie jeans and. brown Bostons .

OftenOrange · 03/03/2023 19:22

Toast are definitely channeling Margaret Howell with trouser shapes , and have been for a few years I understood that one of MH designers has been working at Toast .
As far as pricing goes I gasped at the prices this season , but just looking through the Plumo catalogue there were many pieces over £500 ,mainly from the Japanese designer Yucco Marricord , and some Italian manufactured dresses….all divine and very special .

Anyone else a Plumo shopper?
Also a fan of Folk Clothing ( made in UK👏)

Countmeout · 03/03/2023 20:50

Anyone watching Beyond Paradise? Do I see the Toast green tie neck dress and a Toast t shirt?

OP posts:
Theteapotsbrokenspout · 03/03/2023 21:02

@Countmeout I thought last week that Martha, played by Sally Breton, was wearing Toast.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 03/03/2023 21:29

And I thought that dress looked lovely on her, made me wish I’d bought it.
