We've got a traditional cobbler but he is so grumpy! Properly curmudgeonly. Of course we still use him and he does a great job, but he's older than me so i fear for my old age and being without this grumpy old useful man.

Further shoe talk, sadly not sandals though... I've bought a couple pairs of dms after wearing my one pair for the last couple of days and just remembering how comfy they are (pascal need no wearing in). I've fallen out of love with solovair and i never found a pair of grensons that i liked. I saw a chalk coloured pascal pair in a sale so I'm looking forward to trying my toast skirts and dresses in with them. I've also got an ordinary brown pair also in a sale.

@duds, I have the black Pascals, wearing them now in fact. They are so comfy and needed only a week's mild breaking in as opposed to the standard DMs which can prove a bit of a challenge for the breaking in period. Those brown and those white ones look fab, off to look on the website .

I am hoping to move from my DMs/rubber Toast boots and Toast Blundstones straight to the Olas with socks and then without: bring on some warmer waether!

Nanasueathome · 02/03/2023 16:54

More new stuff online

ive had to buy the gingham seersucker cotton dress…it was exactly what I needed
i do have a Toast gift card left over from my January birthday though..so in my mind it doesn’t count as a February spend

JustforToast · 02/03/2023 17:27

They have the most beautiful dip dye stuff on the site now, like

and

www.toa.st/collections/womens-new-collection/products/dip-dye-silk-skirt-grass-green

but just so expensive

Snowyowl78 · 02/03/2023 17:33

I rather like the new shorts, I’m definitely not allowed to buy any new shorts this year though as I bought 3 pairs last year! I also rather like the new Space Check dress and the check jumpsuit, and the dress in the same pattern

Just noticed this
www.toa.st/collections/womens-jumpsuits/products/tie-waist-garment-dyed-linen-jumpsuit-midnight

really like this. Bit similar to the wrap indigo one though perhaps.

I really like that dress but so very expensive
and dry clean only

Countmeout · 02/03/2023 19:09

Styled differently in this month’s Good Housekeeping.

Oh another Bryn dress - but over £200! And I don't like the print as much as the original one.

JulesJules · 02/03/2023 19:32

I do actually like the citrus green dress with black flowers on too. As pps have said (and I think I said on the last thread) I really miss Toast being available through John Lewis.

The prices seem astronomical now, sadly.

Noeggsontoast · 02/03/2023 19:44

@Countmeout I like that dress even more in the photo! And I loved it when I first saw it! I'll be a lost cause if I'm not careful!

neveradullmoment99 · 02/03/2023 20:12

That dress is NOT worth £500!

FiddleFigs · 02/03/2023 20:19

Oh I do rather like the linen boatneck dress in tangerine but it does seem rather steep at £185, particularly as the linen looks fairly lightweight - in the studio shots you can see how lightweight it is around the hem where the light shines through.

mizu · 02/03/2023 20:36

Some gorgeous new dresses. I'll have to go in and try some on. That silk one looks amazing but at almost £500 ????!!!

We have a shower curtain Grin

dudsville · 02/03/2023 20:45

@ToastCosILoveIt , I'm sure you've found them already, but mine were from Tower and Office.

dudsville · 02/03/2023 20:47

I wore my burgundy pascal today with stacked check trousers, a tee and cardi all from toast with slouchy socks. It was a fun outfit.

I rather liked it too but you’re right . Maybe someone going into an actual shop could look if that is the case.

AFingerofFudge · 03/03/2023 08:44

I went to an actual shop yesterday- and I have still not found anything I'm really tempted by out of the brand new stuff. I did look at the hemp skirt and the silk dress looked amazing but other than that it was a bit disappointing. Not all of it was in the store, and that green dress I mentioned the other day wasn't there to try on sadly.

@dudsville I love the sound of your outfit choices - it’s inspiring me to get out of my old leggings and not just keep things for ‘best’

dudsville · 03/03/2023 09:45

I realy like that oar check, thanks for posting the real life pic @AFingerofFudge , the colour is never quite accurate onthe site.

I think we need to stop saving for best @Noodle421 ! I used to have some sorry old things to wear at home but I got rid of them all. I've been thinking a lot about this lately, and how wearing those things had an impact on my mood and self esteem, but I didn't realise it as it was "only clothes".

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 03/03/2023 09:52

Those armholes look really deep on that silk dress @AFingerofFudge .

Did you try anything on?

AFingerofFudge · 03/03/2023 10:47

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I only tried on the yellow hemp skirt which was nice but not £195 nice, and the sleeveless denim dress. It is not great if you have big boobs, with the new sizing the 14 fitted well everywhere else (I am a RL 14) but was far too tight across the chest.

Countmeout · 03/03/2023 10:51

Is that silk dress not a similar pattern shape wise to the gingham seersucker dress and other dresses in the past described as tied waist dress minus a neck tie to gather. They all were low of armhole. They seem to have one pattern that they make minor adjustments to. And make no allowances for elderly arms and skin .

Has anyone ever bought a swimsuit? I assume they are only able to accommodate a B cup?

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 03/03/2023 10:52

What is it with Toast and chest sizes. I am finding I am having to size up because of this. Especially gape. Not everyone has a flat chest! We are womanly shaped fgs!
I got the tawny brown pinafore dress. I sized down twice in it as reviews said it was huge. It was ok everywhere except the chest. I have reordered in a 12.
Tbh, It was a lot browner than online. More brown than ochre but I did like it nevertheless. The slate, to me, was a boring colour!

neveradullmoment99 · 03/03/2023 10:53

Any links to unusual cheaper scarves? I love them from inoul editions but the price is rather steep.
