please help me!! i need to find a dress for my bridesmaid but i don't like traditional bridesmaid dresses!

i'm getting married in july and i need to find a dress for my bridesmaid sharpish as i can't sort out all the accessories flowers, mens craveats etc until i know what colour the bridesmaids dress is! i have searched high and low but i don't really like traditional bridesmaids dresses, and i really don't like satin or taffeta.

i've only got 1 bridesmaid, she's mid twenties, size 14, and pale with blonde hair. i need something quite plain as my dress has lots of detail on it. colour wise - blue/turquoise/green/lilac.

any suggestions very gratefully received - i can't find anything i like!!!

hi i work for coast and we always have ladies in looking for bridesmaids dresses as they are'nt too traditonally bridesmaidy and you can wear them again, we have got quite a good range in at mo.

oh i don't want them to look drab - i like the blues in this iykwim.

will go into monsoon with her and try it on that's prob the best idea. just thought she would suit a blue/green more than a yellow/green iykwim, god i am starting to sound like a fussy bride-zilla now i think i'd better chill out and go to bed!

unfortunately when you say lilac and bridesmaids dress you make people imagine something god awful like this!

why is it so easy to find awful dreses?

Coast do lovely dresses. I'm wearing a teal blue one for my twins wedding in september. Its knee length, strapless and lovely.

Ok, the dress I'm wearing is not the same colour as the link mmj posted!! Its more tiffany blue/green.
