i'm getting married in july and i need to find a dress for my bridesmaid sharpish as i can't sort out all the accessories flowers, mens craveats etc until i know what colour the bridesmaids dress is! i have searched high and low but i don't really like traditional bridesmaids dresses, and i really don't like satin or taffeta.

i've only got 1 bridesmaid, she's mid twenties, size 14, and pale with blonde hair. i need something quite plain as my dress has lots of detail on it. colour wise - blue/turquoise/green/lilac.

any suggestions very gratefully received - i can't find anything i like!!!

thanks

I have a dress a similar style to that Monsoon one and it looks great on - she'd get more wear out of it as well

beautifuldays · 08/02/2008 22:37

i can see how it would look naff - but it's not a big wedding, there's just me and 1 bridesmaid (and dd but she will only be 18months so just in a party dress of some sort) and dp and the best man. just want something to distinguish them from other guests in plain suits iyswim.

anyway this was supposed to be about dresses not cravats!

Get the men in kilts - far nicer especially if your dp wears a suit to work.
