Dupe thread (saving money)

Hi all,

I'm sure months and months ago I saw a general dupe thread but it's seems to have gone(happy to stand corrected and delete this one if this is a double).Since I can't be the only one who's feeling the crunch financially though thought I would share some of my dupes I really rate

Foundation- double wear Estée Lauder (especially for those pale people with no colour to their skin - mine doesn't seem to have either pink or yellow tones)
Top contenders - rimmel 24hr stay (lots of colours available)
And primark foundation (one in square bottle) - (less colour range but if you have your match) it's literally better than the new EL one in my opinion.

Fashion - Skims dresses - (bare with me I have a teen in the house and she's obsessed with skims) but it's massively pricey - found on SHEIN exact shape of one of the black dresses with long arms

I'm told super comfortable.

Tha Aldi retinol toner smells and feels exactly like the Pixi jasmine one and much cheaper

not a dupe but Kate Somerville cleanser smells just like pesto sauce to me 🤣

wasnt a fan of Aldi original hot cloth cleanser but not the biggest fan of Liz Earle either. The cloths you get are quite hard but the ones in home bargains for 70p are brilliant

the Aldi vit c and pineapple cleansers are gorgeous

Out if interest, HOW does your dd make the dupes? Does she research the ingredients or go by her nose?

@journeyofinsanity it's a bit of both as some oils are stronger than others but we do also have the original product that we both use our little nose to do a separate smell check. We have had many nice compliments from customers that have come to collect there products and have been shocked at how close the scent is to the original. We did do a lot of shopping about though to find the best supplier that had the best ingredients.

I just bought Revolution's blush in Ballerina hoping it'll be like Dandelion - I'll update as it arrives today :-)

Not a dupe but I am really impressed with Astral moisturiser. Heavy duty but lighter than the Nivea blue.
I wish I had started using it sooner.

I have loads of the primark dupes and really rate them. I have the Chanel bronzer dupe and love it. The Charlotte tilbury blush dupes, the flawless filter dupe and the Nars foundation dupe and rate it xxx

There’s no colour written on it; but I think it’s called barely there on the original box. Sorry i am not more help. I’ve swatched here, the bottom one is actual CT. Barely a difference. also included the lipstick so you know what you’re looking for!

Does anyone know a good dupe for Benefit Porefessional?

I just bought the Maybeline baby skin one as I saw online that was a good dupe.
It isn’t!
I’m so cross that I spent money on something I now won’t use. The Benefit one is amazing, it vanishes wrinkles. You can actually see them disappear as you smooth it on, the maybeline one is totally clear and doesn’t do anything. Even worse, it makes foundation sit on top of it like a mask!
Sorry if one’s already been mentioned, I have scrolled through but didn’t spot anything.

Managed to pick up Aldi Tobacco and Vanilla eau de parfum which is a great dupe of Tom Ford.

Ohhh I nearly got the maybline one myself 😵‍💫 as like you love the benefit one. I believe top cash back have 10% back on beauty and healthcare. It's not a lot but it's something!

Hopefully someone will be along to suggest any other dupes for it !

The Aldi smooth skin primer is as good as benefit but I'm not sure it's still available.

not really a dupe but depending on the shade lipstick can also be used as a blusher

I believe someone posted about blusher - the revolution one I have the pink one (ballerina) and the peach one (peach bliss) are really good and very much like the benefit one.

Just for reference- I'm really pale/fair/slightly ghost like (blonde) and really got on with them ❤️
