I suit gold and yet pink suits me too. Maybe it's because I have light brown skin.

PandaG - my dd looks fantastic in pale turquoise (aqua??) but she too insists on pink. Girls eh?

Just reporting back that I had this done yesterday and really enjoyed it.

A couple of colours i half expected and no black (I just knew that) but a few colours that I did think wtf.

However, I'm going to be on the lookout in the shops and see if she was right.

Only thing is that she advised coral lippy. Looked lovely on except that I have yellowy teeth. Tis a fact. And it's making them look far worse. Fine if I keep my mouth closed. What is the solution, if there is one? Apart from bleaching?

MrsBadger · 26/02/2008 10:57

what were you, Rip? Spring?

Dropdeadfred · 26/02/2008 11:04

I think I was a cool and have changed to a warm...my skin tone has definitely cnaged over the last 5-6 years...I don't like it.

RipMacWinkle · 26/02/2008 11:06

Yup spring for me.

V pale skin, blue eyes, mousy/highlighted blond hair.

RipMacWinkle · 26/02/2008 11:07

But a "blue" spring so the brown end of it (tan etc) didn't do very much for me.

There's a lot of pink and green in there.

Dare I say, it seems a bit restrictive.

MrsBadger · 26/02/2008 11:41

ah but restrictive in a good way

you never walk into a shop and dither
never worry if 'this season's colours' suit you
and makes evening / occasion dressing a piece of piss

DualCycloneCod · 26/02/2008 11:42

OMG OMG OMG dish ti riuppy

RipMacWinkle · 26/02/2008 18:59

I suppose you are right MrsB. It's opened my eyes already. Spent most of last night looking at online shops. And popped into a couple of shops today. I honestly used to bypass most colours in favour of safe things - black, white, neutral (many of which are now a no-no).

However, am still not convinced that some of my "best" colours (turquoise, coral, corn yellow!!!!) can really be my best colours.

Not sure what the heck I'm supposed to wear instead of my (many, many) black clothes - tops, coats, jeans, trousers, shoes, boots etc. You name it, I have it in black

MrsBadger · 26/02/2008 21:29

start with tops then - the things nearest your face make the biggest difference

and start cheap - my first post-colour shops were Asda, Primark and Dorothy Perkins. Trous, shoes etc came later and (2y on) have only just replaced my black coat with brown.
