And where would one go to have this?

Sounds like very good advice.

I'm still in a bit of shock and disbelief.

Luckily it is spring and there seems to be a fair bit of yellows and greens around so I'm going out shopping tomorrow. Hope to pick up at least a couple of tops to try. No black!!

I couldn't possibly just chuck all my "wrong" clothes. I would literally have about two things I could wear.

What were you MrsB?

I really enjoyed mine too - went with a friend and could really see the colours changing the way she looked, which helped me to accept the palette she chose for me. I already had a preference for chocolate and deep purple, which are in my palette, but also had to throw out lots of blacks, and have since bought several new brighter colours. I also had my style done, which was interesting and quite liberating too. I could have guessed the style side, but it has made me much more confident, the colour side I got completely wrong - assumed I was a winter (I am very pale with dark hair) but am actually deep summer. I hated shopping because I never felt confident in buying anything, but now know that if I buy in line with the advice I will get lots of compliments when I wear the outfits, and feel good too. So money well spent. If on the other hand you are confident already, get lots of complements etc then it's probably not worth it!

Thanks Nooka. That's what I thought too. The other people there looked fab in their new colours so I figured I must look as good to them. Just so different to my norm.

The image advice sounded good too but I can't justify more expense at the moment. Something to save up for another time. Am not quite convinced it would be worth it for me to be honest.... would you think so?

I'd wait and see how you feel - I was at a point in my life when I needed a bit of reinvention so it was a good thing to do, and I really did hate shopping! I would go once a year or so and find a shop with things in my size and just buy whatever seemed OK (three pairs of trousers, six tops - that sort of thing) and then wear them until they wore out! Now I can think of shopping as a leisure activity, only choose things I love, and then really enjoy wearing them.
